Thank you for this phantastic updates! I always like them very much. They are very good summarised, short, very interesting - and understandable also for somebody like me, who doesn't speak very well english! 👍

Great updates. One request: could you show more detail about the technical specifics of the equipment that the sailors are talking about? For example, what exactly is the pin that Boris was referring to? Or what is the "hook" that are perpetually problems? A little show and tell would be a nice addition.

Yes, when I know myself. I'm pretty sure it's a headsail, but I don't know which one.

That wasn’t the right weather forecast. There’s no south wind And that second lo’s he was talking about isn’t the one he put the red line .

The second low pressure system won't be there by the time the boats get there. It is moving quickly to the east. The boats that manage to catch the first low pressure system may be able to stay with it as it too tracks east /south east. Boats a little further behind that miss the low will be in lighter airs potentially producing a big split.

You could at least learn how to say the name of the French skeepers instead of Butchering them. Some journalist you are.

I freely admit I don't find some of the pronunciations of French names easy, and I have done / continue to do my research on getting it correct. Some I have found to vary according to dialect, but I will work on it. I've found most comments on social media have been extremely polite, but there are always one or two who are either blunt or rude. Hey ho. It is, after all, social media.

@ my comment about your journalistic skills was rude, I admit, please accept my apologies for it. You are doing a great job reporting on the race and I appreciate you. I still think that with a little bit of research, you could learn to pronounce their name correctly since you repeatedly say their name in your reports. It is blunt but I stand by it.
