Great video- I'm making my own and I was looking for some basic operational info. This has helped tremendously. Thanks for the time.

Do you know if the G. Boley watchmakers lathe is supposed to have matching serial numbers on the head stock, tail stock and base? I've got a vintage Boley lathe and someone is telling me that these three parts are supposed to have matching serial numbers. However, the tail and head piece dont have a serial number at all. Thanks -

Not really. They are supposed to fit each other even if it is from different lathes.. they are not milled together

This is the most frustrating video ever! The only good thing is there is no music. 1. SHOW DON'T TELL. This is a VIDEO not a RADIO SHOW. Why are you talking. Demonstrate!!! The days of radio are over. 2. Where did you buy this? How much? What are the pros and cons of this machine or size? 3. Where do you fill the oil? Unscrew the cap and fill it. What type of oil? 4. How does the wood/metal piece attach? 5. What the the tools you use to work the piece? Lay them out, run over approximate costs, and what each one does. Do we need pint sized tools? Do they resemble big ones? Is it more pricey than big ones? What are quality brands? Yakkity yak yak does not do the job. As Confucius said, "one picture is worth 1000 words". This is why video exists. Show us.
