Venezuela vs Mexico | LLWS Elimination Game | 2024 LLWS Highlights

Venezuela and Mexico played an elimination game in the 2024 Little League World Series. The winner would advance to play Japan in another elimination game on Thursday, with the winner of that one moving on to the international championship game on Saturday.

Mexico is a very strong team but I don’t think they would ever beat Venezuela with their ace on the mound. It’s too bad that the LLWS is double elimination as it really hurts certain teams and it isn’t the best way to determine the best team.. pool play might be a better format

It's not illegal if they have a part of the foot on the line for the inside of the box. The way to beat that is to be able to hit the inside corners consistently. I think after the hit batter, Mexico's pitchers were afraid to pitch the inside corners.

@@WhipHCO No, it shouldn't be called illegal. If the players want to crowd the plate, don't be afraid to throw it on the inside corners. It's that simple. If they gave up a couple of hit batters, it's better than getting smoked with the hit parade. Also, a couple of hit batters makes them more likely to take a step or two back.

WTF! At 6:35 the pitch was in the opposite batters box from the batter and the ump called it a strike! In every game of the LLWS I've watched this year (m0st of them after the first round) umps have been calling strikes on balls that are way outside and usually over part of the opposite batters box. It's a travesty and they need to learn how to call balls and strikes.

What players want is consistent calls from the blue. So they call the outside strike. They do it for everyone. Don’t forget the camera angle is off and there is no electronic box like in MLB. They are for the most part 5 foot nothing, they need to reach the pitches, that is why the plate crowding is allowed.
