Mexico is a strong team that faced a stronger Venezuela team the other day that might win it all. All I have to say is check last years Venezuela team how they were all smaller guys that looked like most 12 yr olds, this years Venezuela team, their kids are huge & look older for 12 yr olds.

Truthfully, I think the the LLWS should be a true World Series. Not one where the an American team is guaranteed to be in the Championship game. While the International teams have to eliminate each other first. I'd rather see there be an American tournament first to pick the American champion who then goes on to the international tournament. This can be solved by adding one more international region. Where we could go on to see a Championship game that could be Latin-America vs Caribbean or Canada vs Mexico of USA vs Canada and so forth.

Why always internacional team have to play against them? And only US teams against them? Should be 4 international teams and 4 US teams in one group and other 4 international teams and 4 US teams in other. Or the organization want 1 US team always in the final? 🙄

Most people don’t know that in Canada (specifically Toronto) we don’t play little league. We play real baseball. Bases aren’t 5 feet apart, mound isn’t 5 feet away. All the dimensions are legit. This is not real baseball. No good baseball players in Canada play little league and it’s why our teams always suck. This is a bunch of 12 yr old boys playing on a girls field. 100 ft home runs are laughable, no lead offs are laughable, bases that close together are laughable, the mound being that close is laughable. It’s a cool tournament but has many flaws. If we got the best players from Canada we would be competitive every year.

Well as most of us can see, there are pretty large imbalances between different regions and countries. It’s safe to say of all 20 of the teams that make it to Williamsport - only about 30% have an actual shot at winning it all. Trust me, I wish all teams had a decent shot at going far but they don’t

Well Whalley is the team that won the Canadian championship. Again the problem is they are going against teams with better talent and funding/preparation .. clubs like Mexico, Chinese Taipei and Japan are all extremely dedicated to baseball.. Canada is just a few levels behind them and it will be very hard to catch up
