Naturally, Latin was the right language to hold services in during the Roman Empire, where everyone spoke the language. Look for a meaningful service in the language you actually speak. @@Toviyah Tolkien was an extremely strong Catholic. LOTR wasn't intentionally a Christian work, but Tolkien said that Christian symbolism found its way into his work on its own, and he especially made it more apparent in his revisions. Also, Scripture says that Christ was born of a virgin. So yes, Mary is the Virgin Mary.

This is the perfect type of song for Clamavi de Profundis to perform. You did a terrific job and got creative with the arrangement. The contrasts of the deep and high ranges are so evocative of the pining and longing for the Savior of the world. I love the insertion of the "O Radix Jesse"; not only does it add color to the whole song, but it also introduces the listeners to the great "O Antiphons" from which the "Veni, veni Emmanuel" originated.
