Next oru murder continued by a song antha song end la oru murder panitu athodave oru kutty musical dance... What i felt was like that character celebrates that moments he feels like its a victory just celebrate it.. That's high on creepiness i think.. But in the climax portion he vibes for Arabic kuthu before he finished his task and then he lost.. Which is like a foreshadowing of his defeat because he celebrated before his task is done 😂😂🏃 finally i want to say that in my pov "songs makes more sense to that creepy character" .. Goat is better than Leo and Beast but not upto Thuppaki, Kathi. Pros: 1) Vijay's acting is excellent, I like the Deaging concept and they executed very well. 2) Comedy worked out well. 3) Reference are good. 4) Some twists and turs Cons: 1) Bgm is not upto the mark, Ani/AR would have done it better to elevate Vijay's screen presence. 2) Long fight/chasing sequence and songs during serious situation is like speed breaker in a racy screenplay, one song is enough just for vijay's dance, overall 15 to 20 minutes can be reduced. ex: (Gilli, thuppaki, Kathi, Pokkiri and all vijay's block busters are below 2 hours 45 minutes with 3 or more superhit songs, but Goat runs 3 hours with boring songs).

I thought the way they promote the movie is the main spoiler....coz everybody know that geevan didn't die in the accident coz there are some trailer short and poster of both Vijay in a single frame and promotions were like father-son..... And the second child was a girl. So ofc she won't be Vijay...so in theatre everyone knows that geevan is not dead.....if they promoted in a different way It would be good twist i guess........for mohan character it could have done better and there's a scope for that coz he the only villain lit won...he made his son more evil and finally he made gandhi kill his won son, gandhi gonna be in a guild for life tym. I didn't mind the 3 hr movie as the pace is consistent(except for the songs brake/break)..if they had taken out some of the songs and inserted the scenes that VP mentioned, it would have been a mind blowing movie..I just wish they will release the director's cut with the deleted scenes, and let it 3.5-4 hours..I will watch it! Also, what didn't work for me..Sneha's shock after seeing Jeevan, was a missed opportunity..everyone knows how she can emote, and that would have been a great scene, instead of the song. It's an apt song but just 30 secs more for her to emote. That would have nailed it. There are reasons for the mixed reviews but VP is a genius!.His explanations were clear but the execution for this movie could have been better. Why he's a genius? Maanadu is not an easy movie to do. It's not easy to write a time loop without losing the audience. And that's one of the best VP movies besides Mankato, Goa, Chennai series. I hope that he continues to make mind bending movies with his own brand of humor..And I really hope he releases Director's cut with even a 4hour run. I am sure many will vouch for that.
