Thank you for all the wonderful recipes. Really look forward to these. I suspect this recipe does have an error around the quantity of Ghee - details below. I did follow directions to the letter, even weighing the quantities. I nearly halfed the quantity of ghee like was mentioned, resigned to the end product being a little sticky. However, that's not what happenned - at some point in the cooking proces the ghee just separated out like was mentioned. However, almost all the ghee (and note that I only used a reduced amount) was ejected out, and from that point on, however much I tried, I just couldn't mix the halwa with the ghee anymore. The end product tasted pretty good (no complaints :)), but was missing the quality I have come to expect of your recipes. The halwa was not all that sticky, but ended up being a little too hard. I cannot imagine what I could've done wrong - the steps are fairly simple. The one difference is ofcourse the quality/kind of figs/almonds/sugar/ghee I used, However, here's what I think went wrong - I think that the quantity of ghee mentioned in the recipe is wrong by orders of magnitude - the separation of ghee is natural like was mentioned in the video, but only a small quantity should have separated out - just enough for the mixture to be smooth and not stick to the pan (like in other halwa recipes). I should've probably then quickly switched it off, and avoided the overcooking to try and incorporate the ghee back in, and that would have probably avoided it from becoming a little hard. Again, please consider this as a constructive criticism - the quantity of ingredients is important, and some effort into validating the quanitities would make these even better, and in the words of Venkatesh, turn this into a reference for years/generations to come. Please keep up the great work - really appreciate you sharing this. The effort that has gone into making these clearly shows in the wonderful quality of these videos.

Congratulations on reaching one million subscribers.. keep it up 😊 I like your "No compromise on quantity of ghee or oil or sugar" to achieve the flavour and taste and aroma. If I am worried about the diet, I should not desire to eat this. But no point in compromising the quality of the dish or modify the recipe to make it less delicious.. Be sincere to the dish as a chef.. good
