Yahan ghar par we dig walnut halwa besides gurudwara kadha prasad. Anyways, it just struck me, can we imagine plain or roasted peanuts instead of almonds for this recipe..?

No need for artificial colour if you add right amount of saffron. While cooking add half gram or 1 gram of saffron that's it. You'll achieve natural colour of badam halwa and no side effect as adding (chemicals) food colour...

Yes you’re right you can simply add saffron strings in the tawa. No needed to soak it in milk. Anyway it’s a occasional dish. Add at least half a gram - 1 gram saffron. The flavour Of halwa will be rich
