The same shape my mother used to do. There are different shape and it need not look like modak only. Maybe you don’t know about the shape. My mother used to do with banana leaves. Maybe you are aware of the different way of doing the shape for the recipe.

@@preethamkrishnan8598 I am a Telugu.We make this same recipe like round balls.I am doing these prasadams for the last 24 years .I follow my religious beliefs and festivals with devotion.I prepare prasadams according to my community rules and our Godavari region of Andhra .We celebrate Vinayaka festival in a grand way in our Apt. and in Hyderabad.What I said is the love at making Prasadam and offering to God is more important,as Chef said.Maybe you didn't understand the statement . We make kudumulu with rice rava,undrallu payasam made with milk,jaggery,boiled rice flour balls,bellam kudumulu made with jaggery,rice flour,ghee and there are plenty recipes according to region in Andhra and Telangana .Do know about other states also.I know tamil as I spent my childhood in Chennai for 20 years I prepare both Telugu and Tamil recipes.I am well versed in cooking and make recipes from all states watching Chefs and KZbin channels.I am proud to be Bharatiya and respect all cultures of my Nation .Jai Hind 🙏🙏
