I had read comments many are having doubts in alternate chocolate distribution method let me explain Consider 120 cars as a person And 244 accessories as chocolate Firsrty divide 1 chocolate to all 120 cars as its given in question 120 cars were decoratted so no car should without decoration after this we can maximize I.e all 120 cars are having 1 accessory by now, 124 accessory (choco) left Then we have to maximize cars decirated with 3 accessories 124 should be 124/2 = 62 means max 62 cars will have this 2 accesories and previous 1 i.e 2+1=3 accessory For minimum after distributing 120 chcoco as none left without decoration We are left with 124 choco Again divide 120 choco to 120 cars so 120 cars would be having 2 accesories (choco) each i.e 240 So finally we will left with 4 choco I.e 4 cars with 3 qccessories minimum

i feel if we go through this way then it won't come out as correct. lets say the three accessories were not 80,84 and 80 but change it to 60, 94, 90(the total being the same = 244)....now if we go through the same chocolate method then we will say that 120 are given , rest 124 are divided by 124/2 and hence the same answer = 62...But here is a simple catch ...when i said in the the beginning that one of the accessories is only 60 in count then it is not at all possible to have 62 cars getting 3 types of accessories. "NOTE": the purpose of the question was to find the num cars which got all the 3 "types" of accessories and not 3 accessories(as in count). So in this question the answer came out to be true by coincidence because we had ample amount of all types of accessories. If any accessory is less than 62 then that becomes a problem. Keeping chocolate distribution method simple: Consider, cars = person Accessories = chocos (1) We have to distribute 244 chocos among 120 people and then find how many maximum person can get 3 chocos after distribution. => We have, chocos = 244 Person = 120 First, Distribute 120 chocos among 120 ppl. So, each 120 person would get 1 choco and we are left with 124 chocos...... (i) Next, 124 has to be again distributed among 120 people. We give " 2 " chocolates one by one to everyone until 124 chocos end. 124 chocos can be be equally given to 62 person each getting " 2 ". Remember, these 62 person also got " 1 " choco during previous distribution phase. ( see i ) So total 62 person will be getting 3 chocos each. (2) We have to distribute 244 chocos among 120 people and then find how many minimum person can get 3 chocos after distribution. => 120 has to be distributed among 120 people. After (i), In second phase, again 120 chocos distributed among 120 people. So now each person has got 2 chocos and we have 4 chocos left. These 4 chocos are again distributed to first 4 persons in the third phase. So, minimum 4 person will get 3 chocos each.

This is my understanding of the alternate chocolate distribution method : In the question it is given , there are 120 cars and each were decorated with 3 different accessories . The total no of accessories that were used were 80(power windows) + 84(AC) + 80(music system) = 244 accessories. Now , we need to find the maximum no of cars which were decorated with all the 3 accessories : For that we have to make sure that every car has been decorated with 1 accessory . In doing so , we are left with 124 accessories . So now every car has 1 accessory . So in order to make that 1 accessory to 3 , we need to distribute 2 more accessories . But we are left with 124 accessories which can be only distributed to 124/2 = 62 cars . So it can be concluded that only 62 cars got 3 accessories.

For the last part: We have 120 cars and 244 accesories. If you guys have seen the previous video then you'll come to know that we need to divide the chocolates among all the person equally at the initial stage. So in this question, Consider cars as persons. And Accesories as chocloates. So if we divide 244 equally among 120 cars we will be able to give 2 chocolates to each car but we will be left with 4 chocolates as 244 is not completely divisible by 120. (I.e remainder will be 4) so the 4 accesories will be distributed among 4 cars.

Chocolate distribution clarification: We have 120 cars and 244 accessories >one accessory is given to each car=120 accessories >Remaining number of accessory= 244-120=124 accessory. For getting maximum number of cars with three accessory, we have to find how many number of cars we can provide more accessories with limited number 0f 124.(Since each have one accessory we only have give two more.) >that is,124/2=62 For getting minimum no. of cars with 3 acsry,we distribute one accessory to this 120 cars >remaining no of accessory=4 This 4 can be given to anyone. don't think too much over the last question (I) + (II)+ (III)=120 ------- eq1 (I) + 2(II) + 3(III)=244 ------eq2 when you do distribution for the deduced equation of (II) + 2(III) = 124 consider eq1 and eq2 constraints while assuming. For finding maximum value of (III) : assume (II) as minimum to get maximum value of (III) [ (II)---(0 can be given) + 2(III) = 124( eq1 will follow (I) + (III) = 120 and eq2 will follow (I) + 3(III) = 244)] thus, (I) =58 (II) = 0 (III) = 62. satisfying above constraints cross-check. For finding minimum value of (III): assume (I) as 0 so that we can maximize (II) to get minimum value of (III) (eq1 will follow (II)+ (III)=120 and eq2 will follow 2(II) + 3(III)=244 ) (II) + 2(III) = 124 can be written as {(II) + (III)}+ (III) = 124( (II) + (III) = 120 from above ) thus,(I) =0 (II) = 116 (III) = 4. satisfying above constraints cross-check.

coz earlier when we distributed 120 chocolates to 120 cars, each car got 1 chocolate already. now our goal is to give 3 chocolates to max no. of cars, so we'll give 2 more chocolates and since they already have 1 , now they'll have: 1+2=3 but since we had only 124 chocs left, when divided by 2= 62, so we can provide 2 more chocs to 62 cars only, so only those 62 cars will now have 3 chocs others will still have 1 choc only HOPE THIS HELPS

then after giving 120 chocs to 120 cars, each got 1 choc now since the goal is to give 2 acc. only, we'll divide 124 by 1 only= 124= 124, but the total no. of cars is 120 so we can give 120 chocs to these 120 cars, each getting 1, when added to the previous 1 choc they got it becomes 2. now we're left with 4 more chocs, which we've to give to 4 cars, 1 choc each, so 4 cars will get this 1+2 (earlier) =3 but since you specified 2 accessories only and these got 3 we'll subtract remaining 4 from 120 so 120-4=116 cars can get 2 accessories only HOPE THIS HELPS

i would say this limitation will come in both the methods...it is because even from the equations we will get 62 as the answer, but the funda will have limitation if the number of any accessory is less than 62. then we will have to treat it specifically and that lowest number will be the answer. Lets say for eg in this question itself if the numbers were 50, 99, 95 = 244(again) .....By calculation we get the ans as 62 but since 62 is greater than the lowest number out of 50,95 and 99 then we will have to choose the lowest number as ans since we can have only maximum 55 cars which have all of the 3 accessories.

We are left with 70 students and 82 chocolates. Now giving each student 1 chocolate we have 70st-70ch and we are left with 12 chocolates. Now we will distribute 2 chocolate to each student so we get 12/2=6 which means 6 students get 2 more chocolates in addition to 1 therefore 6 students get 3 chocolates each
