From other theorists you were kinda spot on. When Venom mentioned other dimensions a part of him possibly is the Venom from Spiderman 3 hence him having a knowledge of Spiderman and Peter Parker. The leftover symbiote is looking to be a beginning to the Secret Wars storyline from the comics

Ok just a little bit of lore about Symbiotes. They reproduce asexually and when that does occur they have the strengths of the previous generation and they get stronger. In the comics and the 90's cartoon series Carnage was created by a piece of the Venom Symbiote that was left behind by Eddie Brock when Eddie was locked up for his crimes next to Cletus. The piece of Venom bonded through a wound on Cletus and entered his bloodstream. The Symbiotes share a hive mind across the universe and multiverse. So since a version of Venom bonded with Toby Mcguire Peter Parker Venom would have knowledge that Spider-Man is Peter Parker. So that's why the spell brought him into the MCU universe. The eyes glowing on the officer Patrick Mulligan was to hint about him getting a symbiote from the Carnage Symbiote. He gets Toxin and he is stronger than Carnage. Hope y'all have a Happy New year. @@nflbob9814 not really a spoiler. Sony has been doing their own thing with the Venomverse. They have been picking and choosing what to add to their movies. Heck for all we know it could be based off a small one off comic that most people forgot about. At this point it's speculation. They could go with Toxin or perhaps go with the rest of the Life Foundation Symbiotes or if you're reaching for the stars go with Knull. Really depends on where Sony wants to take it. They've been making unusual choices and it's exciting to speculate on what could be. Hell give me Sleeper and I would be happy.

There are differences between the movie and the comics: - In the comics, Cletus has no emotions. he is a completely ruthless person. - In the comics, Cletus burned down the orphanage when he was a child, killing the other orphans. - in the comics, Cletus got the symbiote when he and Eddie were cellmates. Venom went in search of Eddie and joined him to escape, but a piece of Venom remained in the cell and mixed with cletus' blood, creating Carnage. - In the comics, Cletus and Carnage are fully compatible. they are a perfect symbiosis

In the comics, the officer becomes host of Venom's grand child: Toxin. He's far more powerful than Venom and Carnage together. However, he still keeps his own sense of justice. He believes both, Carnage and Venom, are monsters and must be defeated.

I love this movie cause its just fun, and you can tell everyone working on it was having a blast. Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, & Naomie Harris are perfect casting as these psychotic classic Marvel heroes and villains.

Yes simbiotes do reproduce asexually, they just drop part of them and it looks for a host, in this case it was a part of venom inside Eddie’s boood that Cletus got and it became a symbiotic of its own

yep and they keep adding strength to the new symbiote/host. For instance peter parker bonded with the symbiote (venom) first, then it left him and bonded with Eddie, and Venom had the strength of spiderman + Eddie. Carnage split off and bonded with Cletus, who now had the strength of Spiderman, Eddie, and Cletus, Toxin was next, so had 4 built up (plus the officer), you get the idea. The longer lived the symbiote, the stronger they get, the more hosts they bond with over time.

I wish they didn’t kill Cletus off, in the comics carnage bonded with cletus’s blood cells, so if his suit was destroyed, he just needed to bleed from a small cut to produce a copy of it. But overall I loved the movie, they showed love to the characters carnage and venom and honestly I can’t wait for a 3rd movie.

Yes, the order in which the movies are "supposed" to be watched are Venom 2 and THEN Spider-man No Way Home in order for maximum impact. To my horror, since I didn't expect Sony to drop a post-credits scene, I didn't stick around, so even though I did that, I was still surprised by the cameo in No Way Home. Oh, well.

Unfortunately they couldn’t do Justice for Carnage and Kletus because of the ratings and the love story they created as they are suppose to be a better symbiotic relationship than Eddie and his Symbiote at least in the comics the one ray of hope I have is that *SPOILERS* In Spider-man No Way Home he leaves a piece of himself which would become attached to Tom Holland and maybe once he gets rid of the Symbiote it will find that earths version of Eddie which hopefully would also be Tom Hardy and another Carnage could be created and done more accurately and not that Woody didn’t do a fantastic job but I would cast Kevin Bacon as he actually looks like the comic version of Kletus Cassidy

the cop at the end is either a mutant as well and has been all along. or a piece carnage went in him when he grabbed him. my guess is he is a mutant. when there eyes change like venom it is more like venoms actual eyes as in the shape like on the store lady. his eyes went like blue and black. so yer my guess is he was also a mutant like screech.

It's a fun movie for sure, but I just hate how they mis characterize Carnage/Cletus. Firstly the idea that they aren't compatible is completely ridiculous. In every other media Cletus and Carnage share a bond so tight that they do not say "we" and outright identify as being the same being/person. Aka Carnage IS Cletus in terms of goals and desires completely. In the comics Cletus was raised in an abusive house yes, but he dosen't play victim. He owns being a murderer and dosen't "truly" love anyone. Cletus' is basically the ultimate anarchist and only beleives/desires utter choas and slaughter. The way they try to pit him against his symbiote is dumb and the fact that they try hinting that he's vengful and dosen't just LIKE killing feels like a joke/cheapening of his character imo.

Many people prefer Tom Hardy's Venom over Spider-man 3's version, and while the design is better, there is no real reason to bring human and symbiote together from the start. Something that both Eddie Brock and Venom have in common is that they hate Spider-man, Eddie was a prestigious photographer that Spider-man ruined. That's why (and a lot of people are going to hate me) I prefer Spider-man 3's version.

⚠️spoiler alert ⚠️ • • • • • • • • • when Peter ruined Strange's spell, everyone who knew Peter Parker was Spider-man was sent to the MCU. In Venom's case, this is explained by the fact that the symbiotes are linked to a hive mind that has a vast network of multiverse knowledge that extends into the past and future of each dimension. So this Venom could know the identity of Spider-man from a variant that fought against Peter Parker (in this case it could be Venom from Spider-man 3)

Huge Spider-Man fans know Spider-Man’s main top arch nemesis has always been venom in the comics so it had to happen eventually in the live action films somehow someway down the line .

Venom hasn't been around that long compared to other enemies, probably Green Goblin has been his nemesis over time, Mysterio, etc. Electro and many others have been around a lot longer and fought spiderman a lot more than Venom. Venom might be tougher than some of them, but he isn't his top arch nemesis. Even Vermin is more a foe than Venom, spiderman couldn't beat Vermin but he could beat Venom because Venom had weakness'es, and Carnage more so than Venom, and even topping that is Red Goblin (Green Goblin bonds with Carnage, making a foe as strong as Toxin, plus doesn't have Carnage's weakness to sonic/fire due to Green Goblins syrum.

Sorry but what are YOU talking about?! The MCU (The Marvel Cinematic Universe) got nothing to do with any of the Sony Pictures and especially the Venom Movies, which are produced by Sony and not by Disney/Marvel (You can call them Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSU)). Plus the MCU officially started with the first Iron Man Movie in 2008 - it got nothing to do with "previous" TV-Shows or even all the Comics. Get your Info's straight before posting...
