Yeah. I think that the Symbiote was never evil to begin with. It’s like the saying “It’s not the weapon, it’s the man behind the weapon”. That Symbiote learned from Harry, then from Peter from wanting to become a hero, but then took the wrong turn when most people sees him as the bad guy (blaming J.J. Jameson) so Venom was corrupted by the fact, then back to Harry after being rejected then both driven the desire to “Heal the world”.

His arrogance and corruption leads to Doc Ock and his obsession with Devil’s Breath (which admittedly if i recall was to help his wife’s genetic disorder) led to Mister Negative. In game 2 his desperation to save Harry (a noble goal) unleashes Venom which he didn’t really know much about the Symbiote but still put it on Harry. I honestly really like this version of Norman cause on one hand we see his egotistical personality but on the other we see he does have a heart for his wife and son.

This is my personal favorite venom scene in the game. It really shows how blurred the line between the symbiote and Harry is at this point (hence the we) while also making it clear venom is in charge

I like how the symbiote in this game really just reveals the true intentions of the host, more so than just blatantly making them evil. The symbiote on turned "evil" once Peter got it because he secretly was repressing his emotions, and since he negatively affected hs loved ones with it, they became corrupted when they had the symbiote too.

Thats also something I really enjoy as well. In the final battle as well there are lines where you can hear both Harry and Venom while there are some where its mostly one. For example when Peter says Harry stayed over even when his mom got sick and Venom says “we couldn’t see her like that” with a lot of emotion behind it which implies to me that that was Harry talking. Than later on with Miles Venom is saying he turned Peter against them and that they know what he did in the forest which Miles even says “thats the symbiote talking not you”.

According to the canons of comics, cartoons and games (With the exception of Hardy films), the symbiote does not control the human body. You are at the controls, you turn into a monster, you can jump high, fly on a spider web, fight with tentacles and more. You are able to do whatever you want with this power. The symbiote can only talk to you in your mind, or distort your feelings, thoughts and memory (if the symbiote is evil).

Harry's always had these feelings towards his father. It was often buried under his fear of losing another parent and being alone, but the hatred was always there. Becoming the Green Goblin himself is just like him being Venom: both are conduits to those feelings of anger towards Norman. Venom's however more focused on the main course of the problem, while Green Goblin lashed out at everyone.
