The reason why riot called venom a traitor for his last words was because of knull which was trapped for a very long time and when venom bonded with Eddie he created a codex and knull was only asleep that time but in the post credits scene of venom 2 that’s when knull awakened

I liked this movie inspite of it's flaws but my only nitpick is that I don't think Venom was as "weak" or "weaker" than Riot, to me it's more like Venom lacks the imagination to do what Riot does in combat. But I could be wrong.

well actually in the 2nd movie(i don't know if you watched it)they hint that there is a hierarchy between symbiots with black symbiots being in the bottom

@@emirefe5452it’s not a hierarchy. Riot and Carnage are Venom’s sons. The children of a symbiote are stronger than the parent. So off rip riot and carnage are more powerful. The reason venom says that’s a red one is because red symbiotes have a much stronger connection to their hosts. Cletus and Carnage were a perfect match. Bonded right down into his blood stream. That’s why Cletus’s body contorts and what not when he transforms into Carnage
