Love that you’re doing stuff outside the current release schedule. Enjoying your takes on older heroes - gives me an excuse to do a deep dive on slightly older content. And a good reminder to all of us to play the stuff we’ve got - there’s so much content for this game!

Thank you! There is so much out there and the designers have done such a great job making sure old heroes get new love with new releases!

Great video! Looking forward to hearing your analysis on Gamora. She seems incredibly flexible to me. I also need to go back and watch a lot of the heroes you've already done.

Oh my gosh she’s so flexible! And incredibly fun to deckbuild for! It should be out in the next two weeks or so!

Great video! Venom is one of my favorites. Love him in blue with welcome aboard and blaze of glory.

Blaze of glory is a card I need to use more! For some reason it never makes it into any of my decks

Your videos are amazing! I'm watching them all during this difficult days (my father died 3 weeks ago). Agent Venom is one of my favorite heroes from Marvel Champions. I played him a lot with Aggression and Justice. This last aspect is my choice for him, because Leadership is my least favorite aspect in the game 😅

Thank you for the kind words and I am so sorry for your loss. It means a lot to me that my videos can provide some comfort during this difficult time. Sending you strength during this time. He can be so much fun with his aspect choices, so flexible!!

@@NelsonAllOverCards Your videos are very fun and educative about this game, so thank to you for making this content. I'll try Venom with Leadership using the basic Guardians allies!

I just really enjoy Venom's confuse lock build with Concussive Blow, Scare Tactic, Sonic Rifle, Swift Retribution and Think Fast and there are very few other heroes that can make good use of a lot of those cards which is another reason why I like playing him in justice. This way I was able to give aggression, leadership and protection cards to black widow, wolverine, cyclops, iron man, spiderman and black panther. All that being said, Stalwart villains are really bad for the confuse lock deck lol.
@NelsonAllOverCards Жыл бұрын
Yes very true! He is probably the best hero to run that type of build, he has so much access to it. I do hope we get to see more cards that can benefit from the villain being confused to round out that strategy and make it more enticing for other heroes to run!

I feel like venom is a good hero to have in your line up for when you are playing with friends or new players.. if people have picked most of your favorites or "the good" aspects you can just pick up venom. Having said that, when you have symbiote suit in play the additional encounter or booster card only gets given to the player who owns the suit right? It's interesting to see that protection is considered one of the lower ranked aspects for him as nearer to when he came out, lots of people said it was either protection or aggression but that might have been before the "take" is different from deal damage rule clarification. I currently do not have the cards that make him shine in aggression like Jarnborn or many of the guardian weapons so I seem to do ok in Justice with the build or in protection.. leadership idk when I play 2 handed solo the leadership aspect always benefits the other hero I'm playing as opposed to "lets not lose" vs "lets see what happens"

Really good point! He is great for filling out a table! Per the suit question, it follows the hazard rules, so if it is the only hazard icon on the table the first player gets the extra card!

Venom is one of my least favourite heroes. Everything just lines up too well with no risk and tons of reward. He is a bit like Captain America in that he fill any role better than most characters can fill one. His guns are the solution to every problem. His Spider-Sense is basically The Sorcerer Supreme. He can stun, he can confuse, he's rich in resources. High health, high healing, great defensive card... It's just too much for my liking. You have to push the difficulty of scenarios high to make things a challenge, but super high difficulty tends to be very swingy and unenjoyable in my experience. I'd much rather play a weaker character against an easier challenge where the overall difficulty remains the same but the experience is better. For me, he's a top 5 character in terms of power. The aspects are tough to rank in multiplayer, easier in solo, but as is almost always the case: Leadership is Leadership. For solo only, I would put Justice second, Aggression third, and then Protection. To me, solo Justice builds are there to shore up threat removal. And, once that's sufficiently covered, you don't have to build any more thwarting in. Instead, you add ridiculous card draw and Turn the Tide's hyper- efficient damage. With confuses, you can always heal and Project Rebirth. With crazy threat removal, you don't lose to the main scheme. And Venom's damage is so high that he can chew through minions and the villain with ease. He doesn't really know how to lose in any aspect, but threat removal is harder to come by in general and card draw is so good that I rate Justice second. Aggression and Protection are very close. In either case, most of the above paragraph still applies. Venom just wins. Protection makes him even more invincible, Aggression chews through minions and has Psylocke shenanigans. With that said, as grumpy as Venom makes me, this was a great video! Excited to see the Gamora spotlight. She's super fun.

Thanks for the comment and I totally get why you dislike him. I have the same complaints about Strange, but for some reason I don’t dislike Venom even though they both seem to be on that over powered level. Not sure why I have a different opinion on those two honestly. Love the ranking and really like the comment on how he doesn’t know how to lose in any aspect haha. I hadn’t thought about Turn the tide with him, but that totally makes sense. His one way or another build is bonkers. Excited for Gamoras video as well! She is so much fun to deck build for!

I've just watched your game vs Ebony Maw expert. In your build you didn't play welcome aboard . Now do you think that it will be a good card to include in this deck ?
@NelsonAllOverCards Жыл бұрын
Yea I think I was a bit harsh on that card in the video. I do think it is a really good card if you’re able to build your deck around it. I would try to make sure to run an ally swarm so you can make sure to always be triggering it!

Nelson: "When in doubt, always love Protection!" But, this hero is terrible with Protection. Wouldn't they be better in Aggression? Nelson: "No. Everyone has to play Protection!"
