oh, and I get it. You are talking about not being covetous and be able to consider other needs before your own. When other needs is our needs. When other needs means a better other with you, then other needs are your needs. That's what I think. And altruism doesn't work w/o both parts being selflessness. Humbleness is a strength for many. Bastian Ullr I feel most metal heads from what I've ever met are scared to admit or arejust completely oblivious (particularly black and thrash) that their music is heavily influenced by punk music. where else did it get it's anti society anti Christians anti ideas but LMAO.. @@mattfregeau2888 Metal is just a heavier continuation of punk. It's just that all of the good stuff is in metal and metal is more punk than most punk nowadays. I barely hear the "punk" in pop bands like Beartooth or Bring Me the Horizon.

Venom lent Norwegian black metal the aesthetic, and Celtic Frost lent elements of the sound. Or you could say the Norwegian bands stole the aesthetic and sound. Whatever. That's how art works generally. Point is, they both get "honorary" placement in the genre because they were it's godfather's. I don't really know enough about Mercyful Fate to say.
