3 TIPS Feeding Gaboon Vipers | World's Largest Fangs

World's Largest Fangs are from the Gaboon Viper, also known as one the fastest striking snakes, and it's large body is deceiving because it can strike lightning fast in any direction, with no warning from an ambush position. Extremely dangerous, yet extremely beautiful! Some can be docile, really enjoyable viper to have from a keepers point of view. I have bred them for years so here are some of the techniques I use to safely feed them, safe for the keeper AND safe for the Gaboon. The TOP 3 TIPS for Feeding Gaboon Vipers are all about staying clear of the gaboon strike range, especially when its in feeding mode. And the proper tools and prey size as well as how you present the prey to make sure the gaboon is safe. Amazing what slow-mo reveals. Strike, adjust, adjust again, all within a small fraction of a second. Faster than the eye can discern. Is there any data on Gaboon bite force? I've heard that King's are the hardest biting snake, but nothing on Gaboons.

Yes I sure did, it's a canebrake X EDB... but her one parent is also hybrid cross. I believe that makes it 67% canebrake (crotalus horridus) or southern timber rattlesnake and 33% eastern diamondback (not too sure on the exact percentage) or my wife thinks maybe 25% and 75% but either way, it's gorgeous and that's what gives it the really interesting color and pattern variation!
