it's crazy how Pika speaks like a sort of second language. He has meaning attached to EVERY single one of the rogue abilities. When he goes "I would have step, cheapshot, sepsis, evis, rupture fullblind the priest" etc etc etc - he has like a full mental map of exactly what those abilties would do in this situation. It's actually really hard to follow as someone that isn't a rogue main but it's interesting to hear someone talk like this almost as if it's an extension of their body/mind.

I know Ven is Canadian but the level of humility with which he approached this VOD review and how receptive he was to the feedback was a PvP developmental clinic in itself. Are Canadians especially humble? I'm a Canadian and I'd say a good portion of us are not humble. We're considered friendly and polite but thats something of a misclassification as well. On initially meeting ppl this holds true but we're a judgy people who are pretty non-confrontational. If you are rude, dumb, classless, etc we more often than not give the sardonic, sarcastic friendliness that I think people fail to see. We're not big on public spectacle. So ppl won't call you these things, they'll imply it beneath a veneer of politeness. We project being humble but we're quick to act superiour if givem reason. There's not alot of tolerance for low effort intelligence.

if you're talking about pika's comment at 18:50 he is talking about the Premeditation talent which makes the first Shadowstrike after stealth/dance generate 2 additional combo points.

@@Schiimon​​⁠​​⁠​​⁠​⁠that’s upon entering or gaining stealth/dance it causes your shadow strike to give 2 extra pts and 10sec of slice which he got because he just vanished it’s the purple spectre looking icon top row of buffs 2nd from far left you always have premed for your first shadow strike because it requires stealth to get and shadow strike requires stealth to use but he specifically says “shoulda sliced though it also procs your things and when you shadow strike you get more combo pts” slice has zero to do with shadow strike giving more combo pts even though that’s basically what pika said lol What he’s talking about is a passive called shadow techniques “your auto attacks have a 28% chance to generate 4 energy and store 1 combo point” which is why you want slice up 50% more attack speed means 28% chance happens 50% more often which was introduced in WoD i specifically remember coming from MoP and having to form a habit of keeping slice up for the combo point generation because that was never a thing before you didn’t even have to keep slice up you kept up recuperation which is what gave you energy and hp regen starting in cata (main reason rogues are busted in cata)

loved rogue back in BFA season 1. did good damage and was fun, cc was not mandatory. i donno what happened since than, assassin does like no damage in pvp. i can't just bully healers anymore like back in BFA, although game play didnt change much. not it's all around cc set ups and crap on rogues. a pure dps class, can;t bully a healer, what a nonsense. especially not being able to bully a healer in bgs.
