venture and ram's interaction sounds cute at first, but i think theres something more there. something kind of ominous you don't really recognize until you think about it. "ive always wanted to make auroras pilgrimage to the shambali monastary" "i don't know...maybe i have...asthma?" theres like...a TON of things that don't click...like for example, how does a character known for digging in air-restricted areas have asthma...they would not be able to handle that...let alone utilizing a massive heavy drill. venture is very clearly using it as an excuse to avoid the iris. which would make sense if they were like, an omnic hater or something, but i mean, i think an archeologist would LOVE to learn about what aurora learned from it. so why does it seem like venture is AVOIDING it? do they just want to avoid traveling there? no, they have already confessed to zen they have done quite a bit of research there, so that means venture HAS explored and learned about shambali. but they do NOT want to get involved with its religion...aka, the iris. its not like the iris is cult like, so its just weird they want NOTHING to do with it, and will make excuses to avoid it.

(The Stopping part sounds a little harsher than the rest of his line) It's almost like he's expecting a certain type of answer, one that he's not going to be happy to hear- and then Venture just said she might have asmtha. "I'm sorta making this up as I go" Human history be like. But seriously, I love how Venture isn't just a copy of the Indiana Jones-type character, but they made them an actual archaeologist, as in, a huge nerd. They kinda remind me of a character I once played in a Star Trek roleplay, who had a hobby of researching current memes. (Which are, of course, ancient history in the 24th century) Also, their voice actor is absolutely amazing. According to themselves, this is actually their normal speaking voice, and judging from their personality, Venture is just a fictionalized version of themselves. Which is cool, but it also opens up existential questions, since Venture is basically a Shonen anime protagonist. Does that mean their voice actor is the protagonist of real life?
