We head south from Sitka - exploring the maze of islands and hidden bays that are a feature of the remote exposed west coast of Baranof Island.

Thank for your beautiful work. I have watched over and over. I did not know you purposely do not monetize but I appreciate it. When I click On your video I realize I dont have to brace for an ad. It just starts playing in its very gentle way and I love it. Thank you for your hard work and generosity. You are a wonderful artist.

There are no words to properly express how much I love your Alaska videos. Such a beautiful, peaceful, exciting adventure you take us on. The only bad thing about them is they come to an end. I hope you never stop taking us on your adventures!

We make noise, our ambitions are admirable on this journey of life, but the best moments along the way our small, solitary and quiet in my belief. For an instance we see all our efforts for what they are, necessities of our own choice, but we are what we are and it is what it is. We are small in this world but we think big and when we trim to the breeze that there is and not the breeze, there ought to be, the wind will always bring us home.

Hello! My wife and I have been long-time fans of your boats and videos, and we look forward to watching them every Sunday morning. We would like to share with you some valuable information about a feature on KZbin that is available to those who are monetized. This feature allows you to receive automatic notifications of anyone using your videos without your permission. With just a few simple questions, you can quickly take down any offending videos and mark them in a way that prevents others from stealing and reposting your content. We have a channel too, and have used this feature. Hope this helps.

I am very pleased to hear that you enjoy my videos. Many thanks for the tip re protecting unauthorised use of my videos. However, none of my videos are monetized. I do not make them to earn money from them and, when monetized, they are defaced by ads over which the creator has no control which I find unacceptable. Every piece of music I use has been purchased with licence from a legitimate stock music company and my biggest problem has been scammers who falsely claim copyright whereupon my videos are monetized, defaced with ads and the revenue shared by Y ou Tube and the scammer and it is up to the creator to prove their innocence.
@dbmathis
@dbmathis Жыл бұрын
@@FlemingYachts I see. So they claim copyright of the music and make money off of the videos posted on YOUR channel. Right?
@FlemingYachts
@FlemingYachts Жыл бұрын
@@dbmathis Basically - yes. When there is a copyright claim, You Tube monetize the video and plaster it with ads. The revenue from which is shared with the claimant until the creator can prove that he paid for and has a licence to use the music. I dispute every claim and have so far prevailed and been vindicated but has taken many hours of tedium.

Would a trip like this be possible without modern electronic navigation tools?
@FlemingYachts
@FlemingYachts Жыл бұрын
Certainly. There are excellent paper charts. Keep in mind the first explorers such as Captain Cook or Vancouver visited here in unwieldy sailing ships without having any knowledge of the coast, the tides and the rocks. Also native peoples have navigated these waters for millions of years. But modern navigation equipment sure makes it a lot easier.
