Absolutely beautiful. Tasteful interior. Much nicer than any of those big ugly obscene super yachts. I’m sure I’ve seen a Fleming up here at the head of Loch Long. I wish I could afford one but I’ll just have to make do with my kayak 😃

I cant think of a better advertisement for your ships than this video. The attention to detail you have put into your designs is superb! Comfort, peace of mind, and practicality, all in one vessel, and with no compromises! I daydream of owning such a marvel of craftsmanship!

Does anyone know exactly how old this video is ???
@FlemingYachts13 күн бұрын
I posted this "video" on You Tube about six years ago. I created it from transparencies about one year prior to that. The actual trip took place in 1956/57.

Why does this video seem 'so interesting, informative and thought provoking' despite the availability of ' KZbin, google and Wikipedia ' these day , which are much more informative and detailed. ???.

Tony, ypur voice your narration, cadence, the tonality, te words and phrases you choose to articulate about what you witness what you feel is profoundly calming and mesmerising. I would *”VENTURE”* to posit that your narration does not need this loud music. If at all, the music should be low volume. To me, This music actually eclipses the beauty of your voice. I wish I could listen to you with only natural sounds as the background. Thats just me though because it is not possible to please everyone(heaps of people will love the music in background).
@FlemingYachts14 күн бұрын
Thank you very much for your kind comments re narration. I tend to agree with you re loud music and I think you will find that recent videos made in 2022 and 2023 have quieter music tracks, However it is not so simple when it comes to "natural" sound. Firstly, it is vey hard to get because of all the interruptions from extraneous noises - such as engines, pumps, voices, pumps starting, wind, passing aircraft etc etc. Most professional films have people working under the heading of "Foley" who make phoney "natural" sound. If they get real natural sound it usually requires very expensive, sophisticated and bulky equipment. Also, music plays a very important role in creating mood. There can be a huge difference after music has been added. Having no sound sounds wrong - even when showing maps. There has to be ambient sound even then. Also, I have learned that the equipment on which viewers watch the videos makes a huge difference. Some systems seem to deliberately boost the music over the narration. Creating the audio actually takes more time than editing the video.

What’s your normal speed for this trip ?
@FlemingYachts15 күн бұрын
We normally cruise around 9.5 kts. For long ocean crossings such as Galapagos to Panama we reduce speed to around 8 kts to reduce fuel burn and extend range.

My big question is ,i need a boarding gangway to get on board the boat in the Mediterranean. I refuse to have a bolt on make do version bolted on to such a beautiful boat. So i designed a retractable gang way to be put on a fleming So i suppose im asking, if i asked fleming yachts to incorporate my design intro the build would they facilitate my request 🤔
@chrismcleod179614 күн бұрын
I have never seen a passerelle intrgrated into a Fleming , they are availabe with nordhavns , but I am sure they would do one . Hopefully Tony (the owner of Venture ) answers this as he owns Fleming yachts and is the man whom designed them ...

I was lucky enough to meet this brilliant fella at the south Hampton boat show. He personally showed me around his boat. At the time I didn't realise what a privilege that was ,but I instantly feel in love with fleming boats My dream is to one day own a fleming 65 and spend a few years going everywhere 😊

I don't believe DRY DOCK miles count as Ventures log book ? maybe I'm wrong
@FlemingYachts19 күн бұрын
I am not sure what you mean by DRY DOCK miles but if you are referring to those miles as deck cargo aboard a ship of course they are not included as logged miles. Good Grief - the very idea!!!!

Love Flemings BUT love Nordhavn just a bit more .. Sorry
@FlemingYachts22 күн бұрын
You have absolutely no reason to feel "sorry". The people who run Nordhavn and Fleming have known and respected each other for many years. The boats we build are radically different and do not compete. Nordhavn have fully displacement hulls and Fleming semi-displacement. One will provide more flexibility in performance and the other longer range. It is up to a potential buyer to decide which design better suits their needs.

2500 NM Range ?!?! Video stated that Fleming wanted to make a boat with true ocean crossing capability, what happened? The Fleming rep stated that this 85 will have the same range as the 65, is the 65 an ocean crossing boat now? This is just more proof that the words long range and semi-displacement hull should never be used in the same sentence. Cool boat, but as far as capability, besides sleeping more people then the 65, what we have here is a very pretty and large coastal cruiser.

I have a question (a land lubber but fascinated by all your videos especially the Sahara trip). Very often you say ‘this will be an overnight voyage ‘ I often wonder why you would choose to travel overnight with the extra hazards incurred. Is it weather, tides of just schedule. Thanks ASH
@FlemingYachts28 күн бұрын
If one is traveling along the coast where there are anchorages to choose from then generally one would not travel overnight. But if traveling long distances then you have no choice but to keep going. You cannot just drop anchor and stop out in open waters. Traveling at night you need to take turns to keep watches - generally two hours on watch followed by 6 hours off with a crew of four.

Great boat, landscape, and observations. Let me clue you in on a few things. The people that killed the natives and immigrants, are still the ruling class today. Freemasons. (Luciferians). The scablands was created by the biblical flood. How we know is that this isn’t an isolated event. Flood damage exists across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Chevrons, channel lands, marine deposits, pine barrens, etc. A massive iron meteorite was found in Portland sitting on the surface. Dropped by ice flows.
