+KnucklestheEcidna Ventus is become part of Sora's heart. When Sora stabs his chest to realease Kairi's heart, he became shadow heartless hence the birth of his nobody: Roxas. Since Ventus' heart becomes part of Sora's heart, the appearance of Sora's nobody looks like Ventus. From the story perspective that's how these 3 characters connected. However from the musical perspective I am completely AMAZED how Yoko Shimomura arrange those notes into beautiful melodies that secretly "tell the connection of Ventus-Sora-Roxas" in a single music track. 😍😍😍

Well... when Sora was on his nightmares on 3D and this theme played I felt it very depressing too. I think KH 3D is where Sora's story starts to get stained with sadness for Sora a bit, him not being a legitimate Keyblade wielder and questioning if his existance it's his own.

I don't know why, but Ventus' theme always gives me a feeling of someone trying to hang onto hope. That despite all that has happened, one light, traveling through a seemingly endless darkness, is still hanging onto hope. That after all of this is over, everything will turn out alright in the end.

Ventus is a sadder character than Roxas really. Ventus is a pure kid amongst his older friends and gets dragged into a mess because he wanted to save his friend from what Vanitas told him to scare him. Actually. Roxas and Ventus are both crat sad characters I really can't rare them above each other. It's pure art. If you notice the themes are also very similar.

Sora is the last hope for ventus. It all started at the radiant isles. Sora opened his heart to ventus because ventus was struggleing. Ventus then asked if he could reside in soras heart untill he was able to defend himself. Sora then grew up forgeting the previous events with ventus. Untill he was able to summon a keyblade. sora on a quest for his freinds learned more about his own past. But the thing he dident know is his own freinds heart was inside himself. He released kairis heart but in the process gave two being a existence roxas soras nobody and namine kairis nobody. However kairi and sora awakened. So memory from roxas's former life(sora) were like a empty shell. That empty shell is xion a replica made to copy a keyblade to steal roxas's power. Roxas had to defeat xion ( had a good bond) and xion was deleted from all who knew her.

This piece is incredibly beautiful. And it fits Ventus really well, he who sacrificed everything and asked his best friends to do away with him in order to protect all people he loved. It's a music charged with peace and a mixture of happiness and sorrow. I love it. "I'm asking you, as a friend.
