What I like about this piece is the sense of urgency, that something major is about to happen and you better believe it does. The lighting of Venus Lighthouse triggers a titanic earthquake and islands begin to sail across the ocean like ships.

I sure hope so too. If nothing else I would just be happy for them to re-release ports of the GBA games if that's all we get it is at least something. My hopes would be for a remaster or remake though of the first two games. If we get a sequel I'll be just as happy, as for the remasters it's mainly due to just wanting fantastic arrangements of the original songs.

This is a wonderful arrangement of one of my all-time favorite pieces of video game music. Thank you for doing so much justice to it! One of my favorite parts about this is that you can hear similarities to Sakuraba's other music of this time period in this particular arrangement...bits of this sound so much like the Tales of Symphonia soundtrack!

I just tested a dual mix of the 2017 and 2020 version to see what the result would be. It's amazing how they both work well with each other. I found both version were missing something; It turns out it was each other. The 2017 version was like a background theme. The 2020 version was more in the foreground. Together they combine to form the pinnacle of your Venus Lighthouse orchestra. Should try it yourself, the grandness is unreal.

@@GenesicKaiser That does work surprisingly well - the 2017 version has quite the booming bass (heh, I did no EQ at the time), but it blends remarkably with the tighter bass in the 2020 version. And the strings sound richer from the added sound, though some of the trumpet stuff is a tad off due to legato vs. staccato patches, but a fun experiment nonetheless!

@@TandA-Music Yeah I felt that while the 2020 ver. had more oomph, something was missing. As if some of the parts sounded too strong and stuck out like sore thumb. Also when it got to the repeated 2nd half, I found the 2017 version worked more. Like because the 2nd half shared a similar part to the first, the build up crashed and it had to start again. With the 2017 part, those parts don't stick out as much so it flowed much better in the more triumphant part of the 2nd half.

If you mean new material that extends the songs, probably never (unless I can find some appropriate places to extend them with new material, e.g. Jupiter Lighthouse, Sorrow and Regret). I try to remain faithful to Sakuraba's original structures. If you meant meant 30 minute loop versions, haven't thought about it, but if there's enough demand for them I create them and throw them up on another channel or this one.

Great theme but i dont like Venus Lighthouse: I dont like the earth element a lot (excluding the adepts), Sand Puzzles are frustrating... Venus Lighthouse is beautiful with all that statues but its also too Dull.
