They've definitely branched away from what it was before with volleyball gameplay, the change in direction was more evident with the fact they've introduced you, Owner, as the person looking after the girls rather than you playing as one of the girls hence the immerse romance route being able to form Given all the new girls there are (was surprised seeing just how many of them there are when I checked the wiki) I'm surprised they're keeping the DOA name there and didn't just have "Venus Vacation" as a standalone thing of its own, guess it's just that brand recognition thing 😂 The newer girls themselves have voice actresses that are very high profile too which is also a surprise why they didn't have this thing separated away from the DOA branding Dead or Alive being about a fighting tournament from DOATEC, surprise to see just how far away this new game will be compared to the origination of its series, unless you could say DOA Xtreme is basically the girls only spin off to the main series, but still curious to know how this new game will pan out and if it's gonna be just a cashgrab dating sim or it'll have actual more features to this I have played dating sims before, notably Voltage inc. ones and knowing what their system is like before coinciding KOEI Tecmo's microtransaction ethics, why do I feel like they're gonna like, do by episodes and you'd need to purchase each episode one by one, then adding along special outfits for each episode to alternate their looks in one single dlc per costume 🙃

DOA series really hates Lisa, kinda a shame too considering her Japanese voice is played by Maaya Sakamoto who is a very very high profile actress also crazy how Lisa is brushed off to the side considering she was THE poster girl of the original DOAX having been the new character created for the spin off who in turn appears in the main story
