Rather than rescue board, I definitely recommend big air balloon. And if you’re not playing that, then PLEASE play heavy baton! It’s a perfect card for something like venusaur

I second big balloon being able to heal 120 pretty consistently makes the tanky boy more tanky

Very! The few times I've played venusaur lets you recover 120 each turn and more if you run oricorio, tsareena, or munkidori

Jup i see that. I play blastoise since a year and i made it so underrated strong. I also tried venasaur but yes... JOLTIK IS THE PARTNER FOR VENASUAR. AAAAND: maybe we can add the 2 price pika when new the set comes out.

You play switch in this deck, so you've got to remember arven is a switch. You missed out on the joltik attack not because you whiffed energy, but you missed what arven could give you

Love the vid man, I tried experimenting with the whole Joltick energy acceleration on Chesnaught V (since he’s my favorite Pokémon) and it wasn’t the greatest 😅 but you got me in the deck building mindset and Thank you for that dude!! :)

Saur has Char covered, hits 300 and with sneasler on the bench, the poison dpes the remaining 30. Could maybe use Pecharubt instead though

Cool conception. Accelerating Ven with Ogerpon and energy switch aint bad either. But the best part of the video when he said 'Why are you lying' when the opp was energy short 😂

7:44 Off to the lost zone Iron Thorns, never go back ehehehe. This card is very fun to play in ranked and in casual. Though i be more careful what actions on going to make on every turn.

I have been trying to get this to work as well. I took a page from Charizard and built mine using that engine instead of the Joltik. I can send you my list to try if you are interested.

I believe Iron Leaves would have been active second game, as Iron Thorns does not block abilities from future Pokemon. Not that it would have been useful however.

I went a totally different direction with Venusaur. Tree is nice but Hero Cape is so much bulk.

Dam i think Joltik is the missing piece. I’ve been trying Gardenia, Crispin, or Ogerpon + Energy Switch but those all sort of clunky

Fun deck but realistically unusable due to dusnoir It's a shame that just once the meta is going to get rid of rad greninja we get a line hard countering all evolution deck I really hope we soon get a single prizer neutralising dusknoir as I'm already tired of having all my evo deck losing to it

part of me wonders if that Joltik may one day become so good that Obsidian Flames Palafin becomes legit competitive (its first attack Jet Punch [W] does 30 to the active and 30 to the bench, and its second attack Justice Kick [W][W] does 210 if it has switched into the active this turn. I play one in my Palkia Dusknoir build because it is single prize ability-less and easily snipes a benched Squawkabilly-ex with Dusknoir, or hits 340 on the active between it and Dusknoir using its second attack)
