Neat product Mark. I never realized a heated jacket would last so long. Thanks for the video.

I'm glad you brought up the moisture that can build up inside. I would not have thought about that having had no experience wearing a heated jacket. I like cotton next to my skin, and it does absorb and hold onto water. Eczema issues do not tollerate wool or synthetics. I do like the idea of a rechargeable power bank heating a jacket though. Heated pockets would be the bomb!!!

The moisture is only an issue if you are working hard. If you are not working up a perspiration, you would not have an issue. Thanks for commenting

Not having used this brand, I do prefer a heated vest under other layers. An outside jacket puts the heat in the last layer while a vest puts the heat closer to your body while other layers go over it to keep the heat inside. Mark explains it in the video but many people look at these as an outer layer only. When buying heated anything, look at where the heat are coming from, some may have wires throughout but others just heat in spots like kidney, lower back, chest, etc.

Thanks for adding your experience. I do have a heated vest that I like to wear under almost everything else. This remains more of a item I wear on its own when I don't need that much insulation. Thanks for commenting

Guy at work has one (don’t know if it’s the same brand or not) and likes it a lot. I wanted to get one for work too, but I’m often carrying 2x4s or something on my shoulders, and I doubt it would last long.

Fair enough. Although, the "wires" don't go over the top of the shoulders and an outer jacket would help prevent wear. Thanks for commenting Jim

@@MarkYoungBushcraft Hmmm, maybe it would be good then. I have a hard time, because I’m inside, outside, in the car or truck, and it’s so tough to dress. This would actually be a big help. Maybe I will get one……next year. 😢

Great review, I am not a fan of heated garments from a hiker/bushcraft perspective at all. But from a "I have to go start the car and drive to work in the winter" perspective, I can see it having more considerable value. 😉 Very well presented review!

I tend to agree. I do like that I can turn on the heat when I sit and cool off but, batteries will run down so the vest has to be warm on its own as well. Thanks for commenting brother

So, if I bought one, I wouldn’t feel like I got fleeced? …………..😘🤪 Perhaps the reason you don’t feel the high heat of the element, is because it gets dissipated through the jacket. I could see having this for the early chill I feel some mornings when I’m riding my motorcycle/scooter. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️
@MarkYoungBushcraft2 жыл бұрын
Oh my, I can't keep up with you. I agree, the best way to use one of these is under something else to help trap the heat being generated. Thanks for commenting

How do you wash that fleece heated jacket? Should I just put it in washer dryer? I am confused on amazing details it says you can do that.
@MarkYoungBushcraft20 күн бұрын
Because of the carbon fiber technology it is able to be washed in a machine. I have machine washed mine without issue but I have not placed mine in a dryer. Thanks for commenting

@ oh okay, I’m getting my Venustas fleece today, so it’s possible to wash it by washing machine and then even dry it, it will won’t effect the cord to the power bank too as long as I zip it up in the inner lining of the fleece jacket right ? Sorry for asking a dumb question, I’m just confused. And even so in the dryer it should be good in high heat, I would not damage it right? On Amazon details it’s possible for both machine and dryer, but I am unsure. And I seen other videos people putting it in a ziplock bag thingy too for the washer

@@ConradChances I have similar products that came with a mesh bag intended to have the garment placed in while being washed. This one did not but there was no issue with washing. I zipped the battery cable into its pocket and zipped the sweater closed. I cannot tell you what will happen in the dryer as I mentioned, I did not do that. I personally would use low heat to be on the safe side
