Supermassive is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve used only my harp to create some amazing drones and atmospheres. I also use it on nearly every single one of my songs because there’s just enough freedom and presets to tweak etc that you can get an insane amount of use out of it for a free plug in. And pairing Spitfires Soft Piano with it?! Just damn 🦄😩✨

Free plugins everyone should check out: *All Klanghelm free stuff great saturation and compressors DC1A, IVGI and MUJC jr all brilliant *All Tokyo Dawn Records Plugins, brilliant EQ's and compressors, Nova, Slick eq, Molotok and Kotelnikov all great *All the free Melda Production stuff (also has a free dynamic eq), the perfect upgrade on stock plugins for free *Every Analog Obsession plugin I have ever tried, but in particular FETISH (1176 style comp) and BUSTER SE (SSL style comp) *Audio Assault Headcrusher free (tape saturation, sounds better than the paid plugin IMO) *Klevgrand Free Amp (tube/tape saturation, sounds killer on bass) *TAL free reverbs , delays and modulation FX I personally love TAL reverb 2 and their Dub delays *Blue Cat Phaser Flanger and Chrous, great free modulation FX *Vital , basically serum for free *Sample Science Decent Sampler plugins, their whole catalog is brilliant, too many to list *Spitfire Audio LABS, like Sample Science too many to list, but great sounds of all types *MT Power Kit 2, free drum software, like a free EazyDrummer, sounds pretty good *OTT free upwards compressor, very useful *ProAudioTB Loud Max, clone of the Waves L2 limiter, very solid *TRacks Classic EQ , great plugin, analog style curves and mid side processing *Pancake2 by Cableguys, the best free auto paner, bar none *Valhalla SuperMassive, everyone notes the Delay and Verb function, but also does modulation very well too *Guitar Amp sims ML Soundlabs Roots free, and Stevie T free, brilliant rock/metal amp sims, also check out Le Poulin HyBrit great Marshall plexi sim, Le Poulin Le456 great Engl amp sim, Ignite Emissary and NADIR by STL tone (great Metal amp sim and IR loader), and Amplitube free version has some great amp sims to choose from *Bass amp sims, GK Amplification I think is free with Focusrite interfaces and is great, but also TSE BOD great sim of the Sansamp Bass pre amp totally free.

I've heard a number of "as good as the payware" reviews, but you present seriously good stuff. There are a lot of good freeware and freeish ware out, but these plugs, and your synth suggestions, are top shelf. Thanks for the reviews. And the virtual coffee. Addition to the list - VCV Rack. Completely free and powerful modular synth (although it's practically a DAW now) with free access to things like Mutable Instruments, and trust me, you want Clouds for sound design. Over 2000 modules, and a lot of weird quirky things that don't really exist anywhere else. Modular can be time consuming, but also a huge time saver for certain things. One of my tricks is to load up one of the samplers, point it to a directory of, say, 300 hi-hat samples, and use sample and hold to randomly select samples for every note. Of course manipulating pitch and decay as well. That would take weeks to do elsewhere (as far as I know). Record, pull it into a session, and it's something unique that'll never happen again. One module will let you load NES roms and play any game with any CV source, or vice versa, another will let you play Snake with authentic graphics. Nuff said.

A few more: - Stone Voices Ambient Reverb. One of the few reverbs you can freeze. - From Sonic Anomaly: - SLAX: Great SSL Bus Compressor. - TriLeveler2: Essentialy Waves RVox, but free. - Leet Delay: Great quality delay that can self oscillate. - Bass Professor: The ultimate bass focused channel strip. Great for grit and dirt. - Bass Professor MkII: Same as Bass Professor, but for clean sounds. - VOLA 2: Imagine Waves Maxx Volume and MV2 had a kid. This is this plugin. - From Auburn Sounds: - Panagement: Binaural Panner - Graillon: Autotune-esque plugin -GSi VariSpeed: Excellent emulation of the Watkins Copicat tape delay -Sonic Charge Cyclone: The ultimate Yamaha TX16W rack sampler emulation. It features the exact same interface and controls as the original, down to the floppy drive read speeds and load times. - Sender Spike Echobox D7: Ibanez DE7 pedal emulation. - Red Rock Sound EQ560: API 560 EQ emulation - From Distorque: - Face Bender: Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face and Colorsound Tone Bender MkII emulations. Both can be tweaked. - Rangebastard: Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster emulation.

TDR Kotelnikov is a good hi-fi compressor. Not quite FET fast in its speed, but it's a very fast VCA (think of Waves API 2500) , and also suuuuuuuuuuupeeeeeeeeeer clean. For more freemium approach, there's Analog Obsession, which has bunch of free "analog coloring" plugins. There's some patreon subscription involved in it, but I think it might be completely optional, and thus everything he's made might actually be free. The cool thing about AO though are the compressors, some of the EQs, and the preamp on his recent "LOADED" project sounds really good.

Good morning, Cameron. I appreciate this video. You get right to what you want to tell us about. You don't say "um". Straight facts. The plug-ins sound useful and fun. I'll be adding a couple to my Mixcraft stable. Enjoy your coffee. I am. :-) Plugins that I have used a lot: Filter Grizzly, Cajon-Fu (a shipload of my early stuff had this for drums) iZotope Mastering Essentials (I prefer this as mush as the 31-band EQ in Mixcraft) and for a synth - TAL Noisemaker. Peace, Cameron!

Hi Cameron! Love the vids. One (I think free) super useful EQ resonance fixer is Acorn Digital De-Filter. Yes there is a full pay version but I think the free version is pretty functional. I use it constantly to reduce resonance in deep tone stuff. Like most things that come out of Omnisphere.

@@VenusTheory Yes, I highly recommend it. I make super chill space music and do a deliberately high eq cut on most of the instrumentation to maintain full chill. That makes the mastering super difficult as I try to keep the bass in check. This De-filter really helps with that. Anything that resonates at any frequency i can dial in and hold it back. A bit like a frequency conscious compressor which only reacts when it needs too. It's better than a multi-band compressor. A bit of fresh air compared to the SM7 and warmer.. definitely :-) 1:33 > other free multiband eq's : There is 'sorcery' but it is not Hifi but does cool stuff with the low end. :-) Once you found NOVA it's hard to find something that good. Love that thing, even as a de-esser. Thanx for the delta-button tip. Did not know that one. Thumbs up for the video :-)

oh i looked in the desc. i have about half of these but im curious, how cool would it be to also list timestamp for each plugin? cause a lot of content creators rehash the same signal in this field...

Very nicely done, many thanks for posting. As for some of the odd anti-coffee rants posted here, maybe they're in need of other forms of medication??? Well anyway, no worries, your posts are always appreciated, especially any involving free apps to check out.

Komplete start by native instruments kinda confusing to download but it is so worth it.

Anything given for free by NI is amazing. IMO, NI is one of the better VST and sound library companies out there. Yeah they make occasional blunders, but their customer support and quality of products is insanely good. I've bought a bunch of stuff from NI over the years and I do not regret any of those, rather I was blown away by free updates.

@@WrektSK yea that is why I NEVER miss a free thing they give out. I don't have much money so that is why free giveaways and videos like these are really helpful.

I haven't explored synth stuff much - mostly strictly orchestral stuff - but after watching this I feel like I could mix some synth in with my orchestral, make it sound electric at times, maybe Kung Fu Panda style. Thanks!
