I’m so glad you were able to get this bag in the pattern placement you wanted! I do agree with you on the features being missing on the recycled cotton. I miss the piping so much and it makes it hard to want to spend the same price on pieces. This pattern is just hard to pass on though 😂. Thanks for sharing all the details! 💕

I agree with you in the signature cotton. I haven’t bought too much “new” Vera lately. My last new one was the Disney pattern in July.

I 100% agree with you about the new totes. I really don’t like that they took away those features, it makes it look cheap and unfinished in my opinion, and not worth the money anymore. I’m of the same mind that I won’t purchase another newer tote unless I’m in love with the pattern. They need to at least add them back for those more expensive licensed totes, I mean they’re still doing the trim for the customs correct? I got the zip ID in Lunas medallion, it’s really cute, that and the embellished tote might be the only one I get until the next release.

I also use a SVT (in whichever material, incl. PT or Ultralight) as my "adjunct" purse-to hold stuff I might want to have on hand (on a shopping excursion or longer car trip) but don't need in same way that I need the contents of purse. It's totally understandable why you're decreasing purchases of new VB, esp. given the recent decline in quality-I feel the same way about the recycled cotton & lack of structure on styles we had previously enjoyed. For now, there are still: Factory Outlet (which hasn't yet switched to recycled cotton) pieces, Lighten Up/Reactive, and Ultralight/PT fabrications-plus, the retired (signature cotton) items found in the OOS, retired patterns/colors available from other retailers, and used/NWT/vintage pieces from the resale sites. Don't wish to explore other brands of bags/purses (that's just my personal preference), instead I'll focus on the remaining VB categories & materials (listed above).

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does that! That’s very true. Finding bags on third-party sites seems to be one of the better options we have to get the features/quality we desire.

I’m a huge Luna fan so I did buy the spectrespecs tote, but I agree that pattern is kind of boring. I didn’t realize how bright coral that tote is in real life. I do plan on buying a bag in Forbidden Forest but I haven’t decided on one yet. Forbidden Forest is definitely my favorite pattern of all the HP collections.
