I’m an American, but I love all the British patriotic songs, especially the ones from WW II. How could anyone not admire a people that fought years longer than we did? And for too long she stood alone against Hitler. Those songs have such spirit, and show such strength and determination. Sometimes I tear up, because they touch me so.

@@doctorabutros Doc, I'm from Texas as well, like the lad above...have dear friends in Brooklyn. Isn't it great we're old enough, or history-sensitive enough to appreciate Vera Lynn and that time. I have a challenge for anyone to take up: purchase a Balsa, stick and paper Spitfire flying model Aircraft Kit. Putting it together and flying it around the patch does something which starring into a phone will never do. Building confidence is just one of the benefits. It will at least, give one some vague idea of the effort it took to build one Spitfire.. but this is what we did do as kids in the 50's.. play outside in the Sun, build models and read books. You said it, mate. It's not just there in Great Britain but also happening here in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Germany, etc. We're all being hit on the head and told by the critical race theorists that we're all the bad guys, that our histories are bad, and our heroes were bad, as they try to rewrite our histories in order to take over the future. George Orwell had already predicted how the tyrants take power by changing history, "The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history." In 1984, he also wrote, "He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past." Sound familiar? The telescreens are on the wall! They're also in the iPhones, the cars, the TV's. If Bezos, Musk et al. have their way, they'll be on chips inside your head, too.
