Over the years in the UK, we have had the original 1989 Landrover Discovery, the 2000 TD5 (with a chipped 5-cylinder diesel engine), and the 2006 LR3. We still have the TD5 and the LR3 and have added a 2013 Rangerove Vogue 3L Diesel. With regular maintenance, they have been brilliant workhorse vehicles with no real surprises. All were purchased secondhand, doing fieldwork, heavy towing, and going on long-distance holidays with our three children. Your restoration is fantastic and shows what's possible. We also run a 2007 A6 S Line Audi Quattro 2.7 TDi Le Mans Edition (Rare as hen's teeth and a performance sleeper). 150k miles on the clock and runs brilliantly. Last year, we changed two injectors, which, other than essential servicing, has been the extent of its maintenance since buying it eight years ago with 120k on the clock. Your fixing of the crankshaft timing sensor would have killed anyone else. Fantastic information and recovery. I may have to fall back on it in the future. Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing your next Discovery rebuild.

Well, we organize our tear down and label everything. We show that in the individual videos. But Ziplock bags and a sharpie are your best friends when rebuilding an engine. 😃👍🙋‍♀️

As a video editor I know how much work and dedication went into just making this video for us, very well done. As a hobby mechanic restoring my Mercedes Ponton I also know how much motivation it takes to get out there and get things done, but I don't have half the knowledge Christian has and no lathe in my kitchen or spare engine hidden behind the sofa in the lounge. I have also never been to a strip club blind folded 🤣 thanks for that Christian.

It takes 11 liters no matter how we drive. My LR4 can go from 7 to 14. Not the 2.7 L. It sort of does not care. Christian
