Cutter bar grinder
My friend brought me this grinder for renovation, which he knew nothing about. I also saw it for the first time and after a closer search I found out that it was a hand grinder for the cutting bars.

What I didn't tell you is that I still remember the hardcover book the psychologist author Dr. Glenn Weldon has written. It's called the Caped Crusade, Batman, and the Rise of Nerd Culture. I've read the front over-leaf paper jacket cover flap regarding what it says. It says the rise and fall of the DC Comic book hero. This DC Comic book hero is easy to impersonate just by wearing the same kind of mask Batman wears minus the bat ears. Did you bet on that? I was going to take the Monkees comedy series cast and crew members very seriously when they took a poke at Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and Batmite? ➖️ 📖

I really like the "aging" you added by black overspray on the stained wood and painted metal parts. Some restorations don't look right if they are all bright and shiny. We are very fortunate to have artists like Veronica and Radek who treat these artifacts with great respect as these old things were very important someone years ago. Excellent work!

Lovely resto! I have used that wire technique for burnishing detail into wood. I also use the heat of friction to fuse wood finish to the wood.

Guess it was used to sharpen the teeth on the old wheel driven sickle mower, We pulled our with a small W4 McCormick tractor, but originally would have been horse drawn.

I used one like that for my horse-drawn sickle bar hay cutter a long time ago. It, and the sickle bar were older then than I am now. Then I discovered powered grinders. Also had small hand tools for removing and placing the rivets. These were winter jobs, when we had time to repair the tools for next season. Don’t miss it.

I found an old wringer in the woods and used it to machine a modified copy out of steel. With the copy, I was able to roll dough for baking to a 3mm thickness. I enjoy your videos great work!

Wonderful restoration. I didn't know the exact purpose of this tool . I have never seen one, so I wouldn't know if it had missi g parts. You made it very useful again.
