I had a friend reach out to me one night, but I was arguing with an ex, so I didn't respond to my friend's call. I messaged him the next morning, but he didn't respond. I found out later that day that he passed away in his sleep the night before. I have not yet forgiven myself for not taking that call...and I never spoke to my ex again because I blame him for occupying my time with foolishness and caused me to miss the last opportunity to have a conversation with my friend. 😢

Agreed about the Art vs. the Artist in some cases. Not all. But some. Quality shows that don't rip off of CLASSICS such as The Cosby Show and A Different World but contain the same formula (wholesome, relatable and educational) should be created now. Love Cosby still watch CS/fat Albert when I was in high school in 1990 Washington DC I worked at JW.Marriot hotel there was a NBC convention i was standing in the back hall when he came in to enter the ballroom I surprisingly said Mr Cosby there he was cigar and all stuck his hands out to give him some dap he spins around and put his hand behind his back and said give me 5. Though Cosby Show had good episodes, and it did set up imagery that was overall positive, I read an article that really made good points about what a failing it was for the black family because of the outcome of the children. Think of what came of the lives of the children throughout the show. Two successful parents yet the kids didn’t accomplish anything or seemingly turn out to be valuable members of society, really. It’s one thing to get into people’s ‘personal’ lives when those lives are regular. It’s different when they are violating people. Same way people are stripped of metals, degrees, all sorts of things they’ve ‘accomplished’ when they prove to be vile characters.

Those tv execs are all hypocrites! The Cosby Show is not just a Black culture classic. It transcended race and financial status. It was a show about a real family. I always quote " I brought you into this world and I'll take you out." They need toe bring it to Prime Video , Netflix, Hulu..etc. Somebody needs to grow some TV Balls and bring it back so this generation can see Black Excellence and relatable family visuals at it's prime. Those story lines are so relatable and still stand today. Bill Cosby was not The Cosby Show. He had a whole cast and load of celebrity guests that added so much to the show. Phylicia Rashad(Claire Huxtable) held her own. As a child, I was introduced to the world of Jazz via The Cosby Show. And as a parent of teenagers, I find myself thinking back to how the show gave examples on how to parent in a healthy way. So, if these United States of America can elect a chauvinistic, racist narcissist then they can bring back The Cosby Show. WELCOME TO AMERICA! All the people you watch on TV and listen to on the radio are not saints. They are some grimy individuals. But yall keep watching and listening to them.
