Verbatim USB Data Recovery

This verbatim usb stick stopped detecting and now we need to recover all the data

This usb flash drive uses an ITE chip IT1167E-48B main controller chip. We use a multimeter to test each point to determine whether a chip off is required.

Did not see any recovery, just checking some voltages and desoldering a chip

That was fun to watch, It'd be cool to watch you go through the chip off process that took place after fault finding the microcontroller there.

Hmm I don't see any summary. There is probably worn out memory chip and driver chip/mcu is ok. What I expected from beginning is an attempt to recovery data on the memory chip or using some universal USB device for memory chip or so.
