I liked when Virgil boxed from distance. If he would have done that instead of burying his head in those middle rounds then no one questions it. Virgil can’t look for the KO every time. Robert told him all the right things in the corner.
@joshuavillagomez7073 ай бұрын
Virgil looked for the K.O early on, and I don’t blame him for wanting to continue the streak. I think he gassed out a bit and the second half of the fight Virgil really grinded out those rounds. If he fights him again and used his jab as he was doing some rounds I believe he can open him up and catch him if the rematch happened.

Anyone saying he didn’t win this is either biased or bud fans tbh.. even compubox stats are on Virgil’s side . Also you can’t use this fight to compare to how he would do with bud because bohachuk got a damn near 100% KO ratio! Bud is not this killer

The fights are scored on rounds. Virgil lost. Now bud blitzed 11 straight fighters with tko’s or ko’s. You need to chill. 114-112 Bohachuk, Virgil had sharper blows and displayed skills. The only problem is Bohachuk kept working him with those bludgeon that we call fist. Also the two knock downs and the rounds Bohachuk did won him the fight. Bohachuk was dazed but never really hurt. The game plan of Ortiz failed him. He could’ve out boxed this guy for five rounds and destroyed his confidence. Instead he made the unwise move of power vs power when he is new to the weight. Virgil’s trainer Is at fault. If Virgil destroyed his confidence he could’ve probably got Bohachuk outta here. You see at the end of the fight when Virgil chat the pace. Bohachuk was struggling to keep up and find his timing.

@@massdisruption3437 you wana name those 11 fighters ? And tell me how many of them are not named John Molina , feliz Diaz, Jeff horn? Lmaooo you need to stop meat riding . BOXING LOST TONIGHT! REAL NO BIAS FANS WHO LOVE A GOOD FIGHT LOST TONIGHT! This is WHY fighters choose to NOT step up. BECAUSE MONEY DICTATES NO MATTER THE OUTCOME! Before the fight got going, Gabe Rosado was glazing Ortiz and the Crawford fight. Should have never been talked about. An absolute atrocious decision. EVERY SINGLE TIME Vergil even touched Serhi 'HE'S HURT!'. When Serhi clipped Vergil with that second knockdown he almost spun bro's head 360 and crickets from commentary. AN ABSOLUTE NARRATIVE PUSH THE WHOLE 12 ROUNDS. Even the ref when Serhi got the first knockdown between rounds when he was speaking to the videographers insteading asking them to check because he was clearly unsure.. HE SAID 'that wasn't a knockdown RIGHT? We don't need to go to replay RIGHT?' That moment I knew wtf was up and I fell for it thinking that boxing is in a good place now and will get it right.. clown in the mirror meme

Virgil kept it in the phone booth. Head to head that was a slugfest but he ate some big shots along with the other guy. Smart of Virgil to listen to his corner and fight at distance in the last four rounds to secure it on the cards. Ortiz one of my favorite boxer. Great fight and came out on top. Praying he’s well and can’t wait to see him back in the ring.
