VERIFICATION OF NURSING LICENSE IN NIGERIA FOR UK REGISTRATION.... Becoming a Nurse in the UK.

Simple steps for applying for UK verification for Nigerian nurses.
1. Go to remita.net
2. In the search space, enter Nursing and midwifery Council and enter
3. Fill the form provided. Choose verification fees from the options. Description is “NMC UK Verification”. Skip the GIMIS code.
4. Select online payment and pay with with your card. 17500
5. A receipt will be sent to your email address.
6. Print that receipt, NMCN certificate, birth certificate, license back and front pages, the email from NMC UK bearing your CRM number, verification letter addressed to the registrar with your active phone number and address.
7. Take all to NMCN HQ in Abuja for further guidance.

Use your school certificate/testimonial as qualification certificate and your NMCN notification/certificate as registration certificate. Ensure the notification is not more than 3yrs old, else NMCN will not accept it for verification (in that case collect your certificate). Sorry for the late response.

You have to be registered with NMC UK to be able to practice as a nurse in the UK. So you may need to start the registration process from the beginning, if you wish to practice here. Check my other video about registration.

nmc uk sent my wife's link to NMCN but it doesn't open. NMC UK has sent different links to NMCN but they said the links refused to open , it shows error when they click on it . what could be the cause ? This is what has been keeping her from being verified for months now

As I rightly mentioned in the video, notification must be 3yr or less old (from the date of the qualifying examination), otherwise NMCN may not accept it for verification.

Hi Eniola, Unfortunately you’re unable to use a Naira card to make any foreign transaction above 100USD at the moment, as the CBN has enforced the restriction to “protect the Naira”. You need to ask someone abroad or someone with a domiciliary account to help you out.

It’s possible to register with NMC UK straight out of school. In that case your school will verify you instead of your Nursing board. You should contact NMC for more details.

Im asking this question for my nurse friend who is about to start her UK journey.. Though she is alittle bit confuse about an issues she is having with her names. She want to do her international passport but don't know which name to use, if to use the two names on her NMCN license(Surname and First name) or to use the three names on her BNSC Certificate ( Surname, First name and middle name). Let her use all the names she bears normally. NMCN license may not contain a middle name if there’s no space to include it.

Upload whatever you received from your school as qualification certificate and the document from nursing council (License or Notification of registration) as registration certificate.

Thanks alot. I have a question that needs your urgent feedback please. It's actually about the documents I'm to submit for verification. I actually have two notification of results. One for my General nursing I got 2019 from the university i attended, having Only my first name & last name: IFADA DARLINGTON And the other notification i got as a public health nurse in 2021 (from school of health), where i had to submit my previous license to update to my current license having my full names this time: IFADA DARLINGTON OSE. My question now is, 1) which notification among them, am I to submit for NMC verification exactly? 2) hope the presence or absence of my middle names in both Wont affect anything? NOTE: Though my current license and international passport has all my three names on it. Or do I need to do an affidavit for ownership of middle name as my Age declaration that i normally use in place of birth certificate don't have my middle name too?. Hoping to hear from you. Thanks

What you need to do first of all is create your NMC account using all three names. If you’ve done that, submit your general nursing notification and passport. In theory you should be fine; if not, it might be easier to do an affidavit and submit
