That worked very well. Those little guys must've really appreciated the bedding bait box :)

I use bedding based on yours and my worms love it . The African Night Crawlers eat it up as fast as they do the scraps or faster .

I base my bedding on yours. I don't have coffee so I substitute. They eat it almost as fast as I make it and almost faster than the food scraps.

You say they like onions but everywhere on the internet, they say no onions in the bin. Please comment.

There is a lot of information out there that is not really correct. When I first started out I was told to not w=feed many different things to the worms…such as citrus and spicy things..including onions. I have never seen anything scientific to back any of that up…so I started feeding them these items to see how it went…I was really surprised…as they eat all of it and actually really like much of it. That being said…I also freeze everything first and also feed these items in modest amounts/ I wouldn’t feed 20 onions at once☹️. But a few here and there is perfectly find from my experience. There is actually nothing that I won’t feed my worms…..but again in modest amounts….they actually really like lemons, oranges, pineapple..onions …just freeze them and then break them up into pieces when you feed them…also cover with a little bedding to limit the amount of mold that can form on the skin of oranges and lemons…. Hope this helps. Tom

They sure love your bedding 👍. Question, did you reposition the bait trap when you checked it after 1 week? I'm asking because when you put the bait trap in, you showed digging clean to the bottom for placement on the fabric of the vermi tote. when you picked it out after the two weeks were up, there was a decent amount of castings underneath it - which were not there when you initially placed it. I'm just wondering if you checked it at one week and felt the need to put the trap higher up in the tote?

No, I never touched it…other than to put the paper towels on the top and wet it down a little..😊

@@vermibagcompostinggardenin5815 wow that shows just how active the worms were to get to it. They must have been going under it looking for a way in and then had to go in the sides. 👍

I’m just getting my shop up and running again after moving back to the states from overseas. I am currently only offering the Mini and the Max……but I am also working on a redesigned VermiBucket which is by far the best value for a super small flow thru system….a fair amount Cheaper than even the Tote…I hope to have a few videos out on it in the next month. It will really be a good system that is inexpensive and is also a flow thru system. Tom
