Wow that's a lot food. ANC plus warm weather, should be fine. Did you get you air conditioning back?

Sore subject--- no. AC part is STILL on backorder. I am told they are coming Monday for the repair but I am not getting my hopes up. A month and a half it's been already. I bet the ANC are loving it though.

Are you not worried about ink chemicals in the newspapers? Do you think worms are able to kill the ink while feeding?
@derekfrost89915 жыл бұрын
Newspaper ink is not toxic.. :)
@TheCrazyWormLady5 жыл бұрын
All newspaper inks are soy-based. Regardless though, the minute amounts wouldn't be an issue. I have learned not to worry about bleached paper or bits and pieces of "questionable" substances.

Emily, I'm doing some binge watching today. This bin looks as if it's doing well. That was quite a feeding. I know you have many bins, it's good that you can gather that much food for all of them. Thanks for sharing! Catherine

These bags love the wet feedings. None of my other systems can handle it, not even the UWB.

agreed. 100 percent.

I would of done the same thing you did. You added enough carbon for the bin to tak all that food and water. Can't wait to see how quickly the ANC get through it. 😃

I peeked---- its pretty awesome. Oh, and there was a fly outbreak in that bin. I don't even care though. Stay tuned.

My VBM zipper is stuck, what lubricant do u recommend i use? Burt bees?
@TheCrazyWormLady5 жыл бұрын
Maybe just some kitchen oil like Olive oil?
@vermibagcompostinggardenin58155 жыл бұрын
Manuel Medina which zipper...bottom one? Is it just the pressure on the zipper from the weight of castings or did the zipper get dirty...or leachate? If it is leachate..hot water and a toothbrush will quickly remove it....if it’s weight you will need to lift on the bottom as you unzip...once the castings are removed it will zip up easily.

....you must have heard me saying “ya add it all.....add it all......it can handle it”. 😁😁😁 I bet you don’t have any leachate come out. If you did this continuously...then ya....but not doing occasionally...VermiBags can handle it and actually thrive on it,
