The IR lamp helps to cure the coating. Some ceramic coatings require IR curing to reach their full hardness.

I’m getting a new Jetta GLI Autobahn in black I’m a few weeks and was wondering what I should do? I was thinking of washing it with snow foam first rinsing it, then foaming it down again and using the two bucket method to hand wash it, then spraying iron remover on the car, then rinsing it off and then using a polish and then ceramic, how does that sound?

How did you go with the piano black plastic around the boot life/door area and tail lights? I've only looked at mine not long ago and was shocked at all the swirls and scratches accumulated from the very few times opening the rear door. And i think no way can i hand polish that out, must need to get a machine polish like you did to yours.
