I love thousands of bands, but none of them even touch KSE, I grew up with these motherfuckers man 😢 Joel & Adam are the reason I got into guitar, I remember when I was in 9th grade around 2006, I was watching WWE with my dad right before CM Punk’s debut, in between using Burn In My Light & Voices, Randy Orton actually used KSE’s “This Fire Burns” and that was the first time I ever heard it, then CM Punk started using it and I just fell in love with the song, so I checked out the band, and loved everything else they had out at the time as well, hearing that opening pickslide to This Fire Burns is what made me pick up that guitar, I eventually found my way into the prog stuff like ERRA, Intervals, Periphery, Plini, Etc. But Killswitch Engage will always be my favorite band and the band that also got me into playing music in the first place, I had loved alot of bands before Killswitch, but it wasn’t until that first riff hit that turned on a light inside me, and somebody must have a serious electric bill because that switch has stayed on for the last 15 years 🌹
