been running famished flame build since 2020 and absolutely lovely. Can recommend beam staff as an alternative, as the burndamage ramps up really high and becomes a mini crank gun. Super fun build.

This build and ranger's firebomb build are my favorite, I've always loved the color of the fire in this game. Bolt staff is also very fun cause it's like spamming a shotgun.

I use basically the same build, except Swift Slaying on the sword. After seeing this I will try Opportunist instead, because deep in my heart I'm a tank/support main who really like to stagger everything.

For Cata, you gain very little from equipping Opportunist on Fire Sword, you can already Stagger SV, Maulers and Bestigors with no bonuses, if you have at least 1 X Chaos on Charm and EP, you'll be able to Stagger Berserkers with Heavy 1. Can't Stagger reliably Monks.

Literally the build I use. Melee weapon varies however cause I love the dagger, for staff I go with power v infantry and armor to m e l t patrols. Trinkets I go for stamina and health, attack speed and power v infantry once more and cooldown with crit chance to end off at. For the dagger I actually use atk speed, crit chance and resourceful so I get even more cooldown when spamming heavy/light at mobs for a bit.

I use a similar idea but more about Protecting teammates and CCing enemies with Unchained, going 112112 with a fire sword and a Coruscation staff, lets you generally be safe on the most risky tank class by blocking anything that comes your way with nearly 90% block cost reduction which vents your Overcharge letting you cast more spells with your staff, and you of course always have a panic button available since Firesword recharges your ult very quickly

this is the most OP battlewizard build, specially with the cor(uscation ? ) staff ! You can spam venting and put the whole place on fire, then swing twice to get full temp hp and repeat the proccess, burning everything in the back while ur team is frontlining. I get easily double the damage most of the games i play, it even becomes boring a little cuz its just too easy :D

This is the only build which Sienna would approve herself (knowing how she LOVES flames and burning everything in sight). Played a lot as Unchained, but this is fun build :)

Opportunist is simply +50% Stagger Power, doesn't require enemies to attack, just straight up more Stagger. The Shotgun blast has a 1.0 modifier on Infantry AND Berserkers, great for taken out Maulers, Monks/Berserkers as with the right properties on Cata you can 1 shot them both if within range even with Famished Flames damage decrease. Best properties are EP, 10% Chaos, 10% Skaven and 20% Infantry. 0.2 Modifier on Armour so not good Vs SV or Bestigors, have to go for headshots but will require usually 2 shots or more. 0.4 Vs Monster so will take a few shots to kill a Hook Rat.

For clarification: the ground DoT does not stack (or really benefit from famished flames from what ive tested). So for hordes cover as much ground as possible. Concentrating the flames in one spot does nothing. The DoT from the initial burst on the other hand does stack, and does quite good damage with famished flames. You can murder a storm patrol on Cata by yourself in under 20 seconds by spam popping under their feet. Faster if they have been grouped up.

Famished flames indeed benefits the staff rclick and does more damage than any 2 other talents

@@giorgosk.3042 From what ive seen it only affects the 2 to 3 tics you get from a direct hit and not to the burn damage enemies get from walking true it that didnt get directly hit by the attack. the target dummy only shows the direct hit dots that aplies and not the lingering burn damage.

@@thezipper359 Unfortunately, apparently the target dummy does not accurately show dot damage so you might need to mod in some enemies in the court yard to see exactly what is going on with the real dot damage.

Guys, at roughly 0:06 in the buff icons area there is a buff that looks like a head sourounded by hands on both side ( second from the left) I cannot identify it with any of my talents nor weapon traits. What is it? what does it do? It can grow up to 3 stacks when you cast spells.

Hey mate, I hope you read some of the new comments on older vids, just wanted to say that you're doing a great job and your opinion means a lot to me and many other players. Adding more alternatives to your choices would be awesome as well, for example "I'm using corusc staff because it's op, but you can use conflag if you're more comfortable with it"

I've been playing this build but with Bolt staff and later with conflag. Would you coruscation is an additional step up in dmg? are you just using the guysers or the other attacks as well?

hm, identical setup to mine, except for weapons . sword is good, but Flail has AP and shield bypass . although, only first charged attack seems to do that fiery explosion ,so I do Heavy ,block Heavy ,or Heavy light Heavy . and staff . as cool and good as it is on Unchained ,here I miss my range capabilities , thus i run fireball . charged , even if not fully , penetrates several enemies and sets them on fire . interesting build with shotgun staff, but with randoms its bit risky for me . still ,interesting , will give it a go for a few rounds .

The melee weapon is not here to do damage the flaming sword is thz bzst for the THP and if you heavy block heavy block better CC even on the stormvermin shield the only problem is the CW

For me flail suffers from lack of attack speed without traits to go with the trinket and weapon attack speed. But it's still pretty good. I just don't think it's a good pyro weapon. Good on battle mage and stellar on unchained.

famished flames increases damage of couruscarion burn pits by about 5% test it in molded with a timer. the 30% loss of shotgun is hardly worth it.

Favorite build in the game. Two notes. If you are in CW do not combine with the talent to give never ending burns. It prevents your food from stressing and ruins the build. Two, the for sword is here for temp health. Dagger shores up your vs armor weakness, but with the extra temp health you can vent even more and just put fire everywhere. This is a group build, you suck at long range and at armor, don't be alone. But you destroy everything else.

there is a level of difference on which staffs can stack more , separate DoTs on target . special attack of this staff leaves effect on the ground that keep reapplying several DoTs that stack fast .

Everything I see online keeps suggesting the Beam staff... Am I doing something wrong with it, or is it just not all that good? Having to stop moving to snipe with it is brutal and the secondary attack hasn't seem super great either. I've personally had a lot of fun with the Fireball Staff + Volcanic Force, but I don't see that recommended anywhere.
