A FEW CORRECTIONS. 1. I wrongly said Farnnished flames was a 1.5 multiplier when it is in fact a +150% aka 2.5 modifier to the burning dot dmg. 2. The one shot wonder build also cannot 1 shot bodyshot Wargors also known as standard bearers, as their bodies are heavily armored. You can however still 1 shot headshot them. 3. I accidently said the dagger has a smaller push/block angle than the firesword which is not true. What I ment was a smaller effective block angle. Also. I've gotten a better technique for recording with my standing microphonen now althohugh optimaly I really should invest in a filter for dem P's especially xD

Very nice guide, with a lot of detail. I was using 'One Shot Battle Wizard" with flaming sword myself, on my quest to complete all legend maps with BW. Though i used Rechannel instead of Unusually Calm. It's often usefull, when you have little time to react. This build is usually fun and easy to play. It happends to have some overkill potential, so you don't necessarily need full red items to make it work. You really have a problem only in two scenarios: when you get surrounded (obviously), and when you need to sustain boss damage. Good for random parties in general, also that heroic rescue missions can make Handmaiden blush.

Really appreciate the time you put into these, i understand your frustration regards the 'minor' details fatshark leaves out which make these videos all the more important.. the biggest shame is how FS are happy to completely overhaul the classes making alot of builds obsolesent.. i think where your guides will excel it the deeper understanding of talents and weapons that anyone can apply to their own builds.. I dont play weaves but at somepoint i can see the appeal especially if you have a team to play with.. so i intend to watch your playlist part of me hopes it explains how your party decides what classes/weapons and builds to use, theres a nice level of dialogue/banter (like the zealot shooting the weakest character).. as you go i expect you'll be able to demonstrate gameplay and tactics with commentary and maybe other points of view from other players... it makes sense that this is what FS wants its high level players playing and it would make for better viewing on youtube if its highlights of 5 weaves per video rather than watching you play through live

At 5:12 you say Famished flames is a 1.5 damage multiplier, even though the text says "increased by 150%", which actually means a 2.5 damage multiplier. A check on actual gameplay burn damage could be doable.

29:00 Bonus fact: Fire Sword heavy1 has infinite cleave in regards to applying the burn dot to enemies. This goes for unarmored as well as armored enemies. All enemies within your heavy 1 attack range will get the dot applied (excluding the presence of shielded enemies)

a bit dissapointed that fires from ash has an internal cooldown of 0.5s so it means you cant just: ult/Flamethrower staff/ult and repeat to infinity. quite sad. :(

Yes it most certainly is! :) The only major thing I would change looking back is emphasizing that in the current meta ''Farnished Flames'' is way stronger than ''Lingering Flames''. So if you wanna do a burn build with conflag staff I would build her 1-2-3-1-1-3 talent wise 1 being left 2 mid and 3 right. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

2021 here and just got into V2 with a bunch of friends. Love this video, love your explanation, and the humor is hilarious! My friends and I are FAR from getting any end-game items, but my question is, are there any "viable" builds for the fireball staff? I love using it (I'm fully aware of the friendly fire of it) and I'm hoping to somehow master it and be useful without causing damage to my friends on later difficulties. My second most favorite weapon is the bolt staff which I'm also practicing with headshots an stuff. In regards to both using the fireball and bolt staff, battle wizard seems to be the best choice?

Currently, Sienna is one of the only heroes where I would claim with any certainty that one class is way superior to the other 2 and yes you are correct that it is indeed the battle wizard! Personally I love unchained but she is hopelessly underpowered atm... :/ As for the fireball staff on BW I would probably use barrage and power vs Chaos/infantry + the charm with attack speed and power vs chaos. Unchained w/ flail and conflag is a frickin' killing machine. Much prefer her to Battle Wizard - or at least I find myself better able to handle Cataclysm w/ Unchained over Battle Wizard. Fireball is a frustrating weapon if you plan on playing Legend or beyond because you're constantly worried about FF damage, even if it's very low damage and watching pros use fireball they basically don't pay any attention to the FF they do with it.But in a PUG you're gonna piss people off real quick.

She's amazing with elites, too, though my only real downside to flail/conflag is specials, relying on other classes to handle them more efficiently. That depends more on your taste and play style than on the classes themselves. When you get to cataclysm difficulty there is a "meta" that many people follow, but it's really up to you. As for builds, what you don't find here you can find on guides in steam; try the one from Royale with Cheese.

If you are doing normal quickplay then farnished flames is deffinetly superiour damage wise. In my own opinion/experience lingering flames is only worth it for very difficult scenarios or if you are expecting to play with a lot of latency. One such scenario could be an unexperienced player doing high level weaves. In such a scenario it might be safer to just apply the dot once so you can focus on staying alive, while still obtaining value. But 9/10 times (if not more) I would go with farnished flames + enchaned power with a conflag staff. I always run 2 x power vs chaos and a mixture of power vs infantry/armor depending on what were doing. Hope that helps and thanks for watching and asking! Also soz for the late reply!

What abilities would you recommend for the slow cooker build? What about gear for someone just starting out or playing at lower difficulties? The Conflag staff is my current favorite and it seems like a fun build

Talent wise I would use the talent build I showed off as my weave build in part 6. In terms if item properties with a conflag staff. I think the most general effetive properties would be power vs chaos/infantry, and since you are likely farming books I would get curse resistance and stamina recovery to maximize your defensive capabilities, along with 20% health and 2 stamina on the necklase. It depends on the minion. Think of it this way. All minions have a faction ''skavenn/chaos'' and an armor class (Infantry/berserker/armored/monster), allowing for 40% vs any given minion with charm + ranged weapon. The bestigor needs 20% vs Chaos or Armored. We use Chaos. The Mauler needs 40% of which we have the first 20%. But oddly enough Maulers have the armor class ''Infantry''which is why it works. Hope that makes sense :)

Question about the staffs: How do you deal with the Bolt staff's wind-up time for that full charged spear? It certainly is powerful, but I found that by the time I've fully charged it up a teammate has already killed a special/blackrat, or I get hit way too much during that small second of charging. ESPECIALLY in a shitstorm of enemies when a packrat or gunner needs killing, but you must lower your guard to fire one off before it kills you but ultimately the horde takes you down anyway. It'd be good to use other staffs but I end up back with the Beam staff, it doesn't one-shot but at least I can very quickly react and snipe then bring guard up a lot easier than with the Bolt

:OOOOO That''s still possible on ps4 ?!? In that case hell yeah take both while it lasts! :P Your weapon combo is also just fine but two important thinngs to remeber if you combine the mentioned talants and weapons 1. Everytime you ffight a boss, random or event of any kind. It's important the fist thing you do is staff beam attack for 5 hits which is roughly 1.5s-2s in order to get the infinite high dmg dot on first which will then stay till it dies even if you keep attacking. 2. Farnished flames will reduce the effectiveness of your beam staffs shotfun attack which is not an issue bu just means you should play according to your strenghts. In this case spam Heavy 1 with your sword as much as humanly possible and be aware that you might need an extra burst to killl armored minions from afar. Thanks for watching and asking friend!

This guide isn't up-to-date. The beam staff was significantly buffed with a -33% heat cost on shotgun, and faster swap times. Running Beam Staff with Famished Flames and Fire Sword is a powerful and versatile build that'll burn everything down. DoT damage is just crazy. I'm not sure if its an oversight, or if something changed, but DoTs DO stack.

The beam staff seems extremely weak, causes Friendly Fire, and I have trouble catching enemies on fire unless you have direct headshots which is hard to do when there’s a horde of rats. It sucks for me so far, I am level 20. Conflagration is best so far.

How does flame sword heavy one compare to its push attack in terms of sheer dot dmg? I know its limited to 1-2 enemies in front of you but from what i've seen its simmilar dps on lingering flames. Whats your opinion on that sempai?

Sorry for the late reply. Don't get notifications on older videos anymore xD not 100% sure (as in I haven't tested it just now) bu I think the dot dps is identical on heavy 1 and the push attack. I'm pretty sure atleast that the push attack dot isn't better than the heavy 1 though. But I very rarely use the push attack intentionally with the fire sword. Prefferebly what you wanna spam the heavy 1 cycle 90% of the time and use light attacks against single target non-armored elites/specials. Since you want our opinions here it is from the perspective of a casual gamers who likes to watch guides for entertainment whilst retaining some information that is always very useful and that makes me go “oooooh” every time I try a new trick and anyways if I was serious I would just pay more attention and retain most of said information because it is always well presented even in your “less structured videos” like the range mastery guide. Questions about the melee weapons: - the Armory reports that on the Fire Sword the Heavy Attack 2 has way more stagger than Heavy Attack 1. Seems like a mistake from my gameplay experience? Armory is generally unreliable for anything other than light attacks I have the impression. The stagger is obviously important for generating temp hp with 1st talent picked. If Armory is correct there would be value in alternating HvAtk1 & HvAtk2 for dot and stagger/temp hp? - you're not talking at all about the Flail and Crowbill. The flail sounds like a much better temp hp generating machine? decent stagger and decent horde dmg (actually instant dmg of light attacks 1 and 2 might be equivalent to dmg of Fire Sword HvAtk1 + its dot?), but the light attacks 3&4 allow to easily pick off elites and armored hiding in the middle of the horde. On Fire Sword you struggle to get rid of armored elites hiding in the middle of the horde if you're stuck in melee and your ult is not ready. - as for the crowbill, obviously if you struggle with armored it appears as an obvious solution as the best can opener available, but it's really lacking horde damage and crowd control, so I guess it's not going to help defend yourself much if stuck in melee with a horde. Overall great guide though. Nice and refreshing to see some up-to-date, researched guide instead of the bunch of opinionated, unscientific, outdated crap out there. This game has so horrible tooltips and wiki that we really need people like you to even know what our talents are actually doing.

I'm so glad to hear someone specificly mentioned and acknowledge the value and difference between someone assuming they know what they are talking about and someone using scientific methology to either aquire imperical evidence or at the very least have a minimum of 2+ reliable refferences before lecturing others. Not claiming I never make mistakes. One thing i've learned from making videoes on this game for about a year now, it's that people (myself included) have no clue just how many things deviate from the norm regarding the games mechanics. After playing this game for 3500 hours I still learn atleast 1 new and totally suprising thing every single time I make a guide because that's the first time i've ever had to be absolutely sure. Now the reason I skipped the flail specificly Is because I had recnetly covered it in another guide as it related to unchainned specificly. The flaming flail is one of the best weapons for sure, although I do feel like it's a better fit for pyro and unchained rather than BW. And for the reasons you mention and the video beingn pretty long already I chose to skip the crowbill because it has no reaslistic place in the current meta. @@ThePartyKnife What about the 1st question on Fire Sword heavy attacks then? ^^ Do I trust the Armory and cycle Heavy Attacks as the 2nd one is supposed to generate more tempHP (through stagger with Confound talent)? Or is the 1st Heavy Attack actually doing more stagger and therefore more tempHP (and also more dot dmg but not the question here)? As heavy attack 1 + cancel is taking nearly as much time as cycling the two heavy attacks for a relative beginner like me, it's worth considering.

@@skarpur13 I would say that whenever in doubt it's best to test it out a bit yourself. I would say the armory is approximately 90-95% accurate but I know for a fact that there are atleast couple of significant flaws in the current version. As for the fire sword. It is in fact listing the correct numbers but this they are in this particular case very misleading. It's quite a long explennation so ill just skip to the conclusion. You are deffinetly best off practicing and trying to spam heavy 1 repeatedly. Your will deal more damage and generate more temp hp. There is no hard done throwing a heavy 2 here and there but due to a combination of factors relating to the attack animation you are much better off in the long run. Also animation canceling gets exponetially more effective the higher your attack speed is due to math :P (Explain it in ranged mastery mechanics video). Also this is a mechanical skill trait that translates to many heroes annd manny weapons so yet annother reason id go straight for the hhard way! Hope that makes sense! :)

Well I switch it up quite frequently depending on what I'm doing and feeling like since breakpoints aren't really consistent with dot dmg due to the different tick rates. But generally I get Power vs chaos/infantry + chaos/attack speed on charm, or the same thing but with chaos as skaven power instead. Or if I'm doing a Vanguard deed I might get 2x Chaos/armored but for QP I would get the first one! :)

This is the only thing I really learned but is great that I now have a tier list for the all Sienna burn damages. Main reason I wanted to watch this video. Also, you didn't mention that faster charge time reduces total heat cost for Flamestorm, as it will require less ticks to fully charge. @@ThePartyKnife Idea for a video. Bounty Hunter Brace of Pistols build. Combo kill any elite on Cata. Need talents: Open Wounds, Enhanced Power and Inspired Shot. Weapons: Bill Hook (Properties and trait don't matter) and Brace of Pistols with Scrounger. 20% Chaos and 20% Armored on Ranged and Charm. Combo: 1 shot of Brace of Pistol (with passive) then Bill Hook weapon special to Heavy 2. Inspired Shot reset the passive and scrounger makes you actually gain 1 ammo. Will need the head shot on Bill Hook Heavy 2 for armored targets but make sure Maulers you hit their arm, not the head. Side note: During hordes (not ambush) can just unload a full 12 shots as they come. Just use melee kill reset to shoot 1 enemy (preferable an elite) to regain 1 ammo. General play style is staying in the middle of the group. Behind the Kruber but in front of the Sienna, if that makes since. Gives you room to use and reload your BoP. Use free BoP shots to hit priority targets and kill any thing that gets past the front line to make sure your back line is safe.
