Vern Wolf Lake First Kayak Trip Getting to know my surroundings Topwater Frog Fishing Northern Pike

Today we head out on a Very busy Saturday Evening, As I get there and unload my gear A Dnr officer had arrived just behind myself. Which was good because trucks had parked illegally and had dogs u leashed running around. I dropped my kayak and after driving off and walking back to my gear this is where the video starts. Most others cleared and he was talking to the fishermen. Public spaces are for everyone and anyone be sure not to obstruct the flow of every day Lives. Our goal simply is to kayak to the end of this 150 acre lake and see how everything looks. Prepared and willing to catch whatever is presented.

I’m strictly against shortening the frog legs. It makes absolute no sense. Will never do it. That’s the appeal. You can get bit on no legs. Fish are opportunistic. To each their own. Happy Fishing 🎣

There used to be 35 and 40 inch pike in the lake before it suffered a 100% die off in jan 2021 😮 Was loaded with big bass also. Few more years and there should be some better size fish.

These videos are months behind before I’ve figured the lake out. It’s. Alike dominated lake those videos will come out in few months. Rods ripped from my hand and all there are some huge fish in this lake. Of all species.
