I think, Bobby voted for Vernon was cause from the first round. He said before the male even sang, he felt a connection. Not to mention, Vernon put his own twist and spirit into the song. Singing and wining is not about who can hit the highest notes. It should always be about heart and spirit, and knowing the limitations of your voice. Vernon added some high notes in, but he kept it in a comfortable vocal range. Abel was amazing, but he tried really hard and forced his vocals to hit really high notes. That, without professional training can and will haunt your vocal cords in the future.

Honestly I know a lot of people are coming for Vernon about his voice being flat but there’s something about his voice that like draws you to it like for awhile during listening I didn’t look at the screeen and I was still drawn to Vernon’s voice there’s like this whole raw thing to it that I think I like, and I like how it’s not like everyone else’s voice
