I love Final Fantasy VII and Cid Highwind so much and he is my most favorite character ever. Okay I react to more than just Cid, but mostly Cid. The Game Awards showcased a new trailer for the FF7R official theme song and WE SAW CID HIGHWIND AND VINCENT VALENTINE AND DYNE AND

Cid holds the dearest part in my heart. I used to joke all the time growing up that Cid had as much of a potty mouth as you do Dad! And my Dad came back at me and said, "ain't no man drinks tea, it's GD coffee!!!" ......I lost my Dad in June of 2016 due to complications with the last brain procedure he went through. So seeing Cid after all these years has really done something to me deeply, moreso than anything else recently. So I am here to say that I am one of the oldest, I assume, Cid Highwind fans out there. Oddly enough, I know my Dad was too. And if he was here with me today, he'd crack a joke asking if his game version finally decided to drop drinking the sissy tea and grab a good cup of Joe. Miss you Dad, love you both!!! May Cid live on in so many memories that you have given me ❤

Finny, I just discovered you searching for Cid Rebirth stuff. I grew up with FF. Born in 85. FF7 is my favorite game ever, and Cid is my favorite FF character of all-time. Seeing your reaction filled my heart with joy. I never thought there were other people out there who love Cid as much as I do. I am very nervous they are going to water him down too much, and it sounds like he's going to be a footnote in this game. I really hope they make him a focal point of part 3. Like maybe we don't even see Rocket Town. 🤔 I feel like seeing how he is in RT is essential for appreciating his character development in act 3, but for just this game it does seem like a fairly safe corner to cut that can be explored later?

I hope they still make him half an asshole tho, because he sounded way too gentle and helpfull in the trailer when he's not really in the og game when you meet him, he's kinda bitter and had a strong defensive persona at first.

I'm not sure what it is but this trailer doesn't have the same excitement effect as previous trailer does. Maybe it's the theme song that's overshadowing the cut scenes in the trailer. I mean, the singer's voice is beautiful but that lounge music style just isn't my cup of tea. I guess I was expecting the music theme to be a more of either an urgent upbeat tempo or sad theme but the lounge feel/style of music feels like a generic sappy lounge song playing while I'm shopping at the supermarket. And the cheesy lines from Aerith("please, I'm begging you, lend me your strength") or Tifa("Cloud, it's ok, you've saved me before, now it's my turn), -- that's to be expected but from Cid, that's so unlike Cid, sounding like a chauffeur -- "yes ma'am, no ma'am..is there anything I can do for ya, I wanna help". Oh, please🙄😒🥱🤦‍♂️ the trailer left me a bit disappointed. Hopefully, the next trailer before the launch will be much more exciting.

Its nice to see someone who is a big Cid fan for a change. He's such a character in the game and i love how he changes over the course of the story but still a little rough around the edges, he's realistic as hell I am a little worried though, in the trailer, his lines to Aerith.....not something he would say, i hope they haven't toned him down because of todays audiences who will cry and whine on twitter at how sexist he is.
