Versailles is a good example of how Japan's Visual Kei scene outdoes the 80 glam metal scene in the west. it's better music and better costumes. they basically transcended the entire glam scene altogether.

This song will always remind me of how Masashi became an official member. I'm so happy they found him, but I'm just as happy they haven't forgotten about Jasmine You. And, the video blew me away: Kamijo's GORGEOUS voice (as well as everything else about the rest of him!), Teru's open beckoning hand slowly dropping, Hizaki praying, Masashi's brooding good looks and, as usual, somewhat intimidating presence (has anyone seen him smile?), Yuki's energy, quiet wistfullness (in the video's too few moments when he's still), and beautiful eyes... Teru's and Hizaki's dueling guitars, but also the moments when they're standing back to back, their instruments and body movements synchronized like ballet dancers... At the end of the day, I just have one question: Kamijo-san, with all due respect, what did those red roses do to you? 🌹
