One thing I dislike about most singers, is they feel the need to _always_ have the spotlight on them. To be fair this is often the producers idea, and or the audience if they're that tone deaf. It takes more confidence (and artistic vision) to share. I think he's pretty kewl for stepping back for a few mins. Besides, tea is yummy. ^-^

Jasmine was not as in your face as Masashi or D's Tsunehito but I just love his bass. Versailles early work is full of bass quirks that you won't notice the first or second or third time but once you do, you're like "woah"

Truly a great band all around.
@aylbdrmadison10516 жыл бұрын
I think the true strength of this band is composition. There are parts that remind me of Mozart, Pachelbel (I'm listening to Cannon in D now) and Vivaldi in the way they put it all together, the changes, dynamicism, etc. The virtuosity, style of dress and everything else are surely secondary to this.

the best from japan....love it , neoclassical/prog metal ! Hizaki , the Japan Malmsteen , but not a copy ,
@aylbdrmadison10516 жыл бұрын
Hizaki is a better composer. Malmsteen has a stronger and more fluid attack. Hizaki looks better in a dress. Both dress in an 18th century retro style. I agree neither is a copy of anyone else, and what they have most in common: is that they are being themselves and doing what they love regardless of what anyone else thinks. That is what sets them apart, and why the light shines through them, and so many love them both.

Pardon me for being so graphic; but as long as you're not the one being penetrated, then you're still straight. Because she really is a girl where it counts; just with a slightly larger love button, and bigger balls than most males (metaphorically speaking, lols), because it takes a Lot more courage to be different. But then there's nothing wrong with being gay either. ~shrugs~ You be you, I'll be me. This is the *only* pathway to freedom.

@aylbdrmadison10516 жыл бұрын
It's pretty on the girls, but personally I'm a fan of masculine males. Just my personal taste, but ofc I totally support everyones' right to dress how they want, and even admire them for having the courage to be different (most of us aren't that courageous). But my point is, I came here _solely_ for the music. I totally agree about the bass solo, and really love how Hizaki plays a lead line along with it that is actually complimentary and doesn't take anything away from the bass. That to me is genius in composition, and something you will very very rarely ever hear except when listening to such greats as Mozart or Vivaldi. With so much focus on the guitars though, I have to point out the drummer is fantastic too, and as someone who started out trying to sing in bands (later switching to guitar), I give much respect to anyone with big enough balls (be they male or female) to go up onstage and deliver a great performance. This band is filled with talent, even the spirit of a talent no longer as present as she once was.
