Versatile 405 & JCB Fastrac 8330 | Cultivating & Planting | Unique en Belgique 🇧🇪

This is my second video of three I shot during my one-day tour through Wallonia, Belgium. This planting team was a nice surprise, because 4WD/articulated tractors are a rare sighting here in Holland and Belgium, there are a couple Quadtracs and New Holland T9's but thats it. So you can imaging how happy I was seeing this Versatile 405 cultivating land before potato planting. In the first part of the video he is making the last passes cultivating headland where the plant combinations had turned, in second part he is working on a new field, while the JCB 8330 and Fendt 930, both with Grimme planters, finish on the other field.

Just watched for the 4th time, such amazing video, love the music choice and the variety of tractors, definitely have a soft spot for those fast tracs. We have a few more articulated tractors in Germany. At least a dozen quadtracs, jd 9rs and t9s. But my favourite is down here in Bavaria, where the fields are quiete small: a kirovets K-700 . The beast from the east 😂

Dankje Twan! Nou dit was heel toevallig, bij Ropagri kwam ik Mike Vanduffel van Agrofotografie tegen en die wist deze te rijden. Puur geluk dus, anders had ik hem zelf niet gevonden.

Mooie video! En prachtige machines! Maar waarom zo veel werk gangen ? De grond ziet er erg licht en zanderig uit. Wat met één frees of kopeg werkgang ook klaar lijkt te zijn. Hier probeert iedereen de grond zo goed mogelijk klaar te krijgen met zo weinig mogelijk dingen. Het liefst in één x. En daar lijkt het allemaal niks uit te maken, just wondering 😊

Ik ben niet echt bekend met de regelgeving voor landbouwverkeer in België, maar dat zal voor deze Versatile niet anders zijn als een NH T9 of Case Quadtrac. En daar rijden er toch een aantal van in België.

The "Right To Repair" court case in America is a big deal at the moment affecting farmers who want to upgrade or adapt tractor software themselves and not be forced to use Dealers. Do you know if European farmers can repair modern tractors and adapt their machinery themselves (not via Dealers) if they own the tractor/machinery?

dav snow I think that the service fees in Holland are lower, because dealerships are closer to the farms. It's diffrent in America, where farms can be very remote.

+Rick Smit : Yes, and an even bigger problem in Western Australia where I come from. Many medium size country towns are losing infrastructure, facilities and dealerships, so the farmers are greatly penalized even more than they were in the 1950's when a lot of new areas were being opened up for cropping. The farmers had the skills to adapt, refurbish and repair their own machinery for the remainder of the 20th century, but now they can't.

I belief this tractor is grey import as there is no dealer or importer of Versatile in Belgium. There are quit a few Versatile tractors running in the UK and in eastern Europe.
