Versatile DT620 Tractor pulling a White 9900 32 Row Corn Planter
In this video I am out in a field near Jamestown Ohio with a Versatile 620 Delta Track Tractor pulling a White 9900 Tracked Planter. This planter is a 32 row planter on 30 inch row spacing and covering 80 foot per pass. This planter has several tanks on it carrying seed and fertilizer.
This planter is an Agco White planter and I believe this actual planter toolbar was built by Will-Rich and the planting units are all Precision Planting. This same planter set up is currently built in Wapheton North Dakota and Branded Vaderstad.
As the spring of 2024 rolls on I have several more planting videos to edit and upload to my KZbin Channel.

I believe the White name on the planter has been changed to Massey Ferguson and Agco also now offers the Fendt Momentum Planter.

Check out 'Brian's Farming' and you will see a new Massey Ferguson, which is a White with a MF name on it. He is demoing a 24 row.

I didn't have time to watch the whole video. Looks very cool. Did the farmer give a specific reason for 32 rows? I figured maybe a 16 row strip tiller, but I don't see any strips.

I'm curious why the farmer waits so long to lift the planter coming onto the headland but appears to drop the planter at an appropriate place when starting the next row?

I’m sure the planter has row shutoffs and with an 80 foot wide swath if he was coming into the end rows even at a slight angle it would guarantee no skips

Can someone tell me why farmers do the outside first then drive all over it when they finish a row and not at the end when all the turning is finished? Tractors may not do that much damage turning on them all the time but no damage is better than some. Surely with gps the computer can figure it out.

Ive seen people plant the end rows last using GPS but I don't know that they are really hurting anything planting this way. They are most likely going to have to drive these exact same tracks when side dressing the corn and spraying after the corn is up. Even running over the standing corn on the end rows while it is still short doesn't do much damage.
