This would have unlocked a lot of welded frame tables for me back in the day. Awesome!

Excellent review. Bought one here in Ireland on sale for only €76 ($78). It is a fantastic piece of equipment for diy.

I use this saw all day for cutting mild steel. I replaced the blade with an evolution steel cutting blade and it works perfectly for my application

Hey Mike, I really appreciate your comprehensive tool reviews. This is a very impressive tool for the money and should be very adequate for many hobbyists. The stand and saw combo looks great too. If I could tell you one thing my friend is to release the power switch after the full plunge has been made and let the blade come to a full stop before allowing the saw to rise. This is a much safer operation and an important step to demonstrate for new mitersaw operators. Thanks for your work and good luck in your move.

You make a solid point Starfish and Im very guilty of not following that rule unless Im cutting hardwood or something important and worried about the finish. Will try and remember in the future. Thanks for watching as always!

Another great job, Mike. From what you're showing, I'm starting to like this brand. That saw did a pretty fine job on all the materials. One would just have to stay within the machine's capabilities and not push their luck. You answered my question about your move...good luck with it. Have a great Easter.

Hello Meat! Nothing I like more than a well functioning, high functionality, priced right tool. This little guy checked the boxes. Move went well. Notice my fully insulated, beautiful, 5 year old shop at the beginning vs the 70 year old mess at the end! 🤣 We should be getting back to almost weekly vids going forward. Thanks for watching!!!

How can I cut wood corners on this? For a dado rail?

Hi there, I recently bought it. I opened the box and then put it on the table. It seems nice. But the saw is being locked down through the cut line. I cant seem to find somewhere to release it up so I can start to use it. I saw you pulled the orange on the back first before doing that, right?

For a no-frills, basic miter, that's not too bad. Thanks for the review!

I bought a Ryobi corded 7 1/4" miter saw off of direct tools for $99 during one of the sales about a year ago. A Diablo steel demon blade later, and I use it for this exact thing. The blades are cheap enough and works very well for what I typically cut.

Good to have you back! Okay so kind of off subject, I just bought the Hercules thickness planer from harbor freight. I know their table saw is hot garbage, but honestly I think that's the exception with Hercules. It's pretty much a DeWalt 734 clone, I believe that's the model number for the DeWalt lunch box. Anyway it's the same specs same everything, and the quality is outstanding. As long as you have the end feed and out feed tables level I've had zero snipe. I know they're warranty is extra, but for $60 in the next two years if anything is wrong with it I take it back to the store and they give me another one. Literally that's it, you can't get that from anyone else. But I was hoping you would check it out in my opinion you're not going to get a better planer for $430

Ryobi makes a sliding 7 1/4 cordless miter saw for $240.00 that is slow enough to also cut metal...if you have Ryobi batteries.

@@ProjectsForAllReviews I can't really justify a new miter since I already have a 10", but I'm in the market for a 10" TCT blade now. Got any recommendations for one in a 5/8“ that would be for multi-material cutting?

Hey Mike. Have you tried Metabo HPT C10FCGS ? It's a 10 inch, single miter non sliding 15A saw for $120 at Amazon.

That's a pretty sweet deal for a name brand saw Max. Thanks for watching!

There's too much chattering and buffering(size/weight/motor issue), and because its a smaller saw and your hands are now closer to the blade, makes this too dangerous imo. rewatch the closeups. Take care Mike.
@ProjectsForAllReviews10 ай бұрын
Hey Highlander! These cold metal saws do tend to chatter some. Even the 14 incher chattered. Still better than the smoke, mess and sparks produced from an abrasive chop saw. Can’t believe I never set my garage on fire. I agree the table is small and I think it would benefit from a better clamp to keep the hands away. Thanks as always for watching!!

@@ProjectsForAllReviews I would rather spend $150 on a used quality tool and a quality blade. Very niche imo. Great review
