I have this one too I love it for a diy homeowner.

The worst mower I've ever owned. Won't pick up a dead leaf or pull grass up. And to make matters worse, the 10 ah batteries won't fully charge up anymore; the mower runs out of power after about 2 minutes. This machine doesn't begin to live up to the other Dewalt 20v tools. Do not buy this machine.

I've heard the battery version is better, and the newer tracks they released in 2023 make all the difference. It's on my list for the next project.

I like everything about mine except the amount of crank you need to put on the depth of cut knob. The tracks are brilliant and use a two piece joiner bar just like Makita. I do wish that the track was in a long and short piece rather than two 55-inch pieces. Maybe I'll buy another set of tracks to cut into shorter pieces.

It's basically a palm nailer, handy for tight corners, or driving nails between studs, not sure it's good for fine work.

My Ryobi 1/2” impact won’t even power on with anything less than 3ah battery.

Can I have it?

I hate mine. You have to get all the limbs cleaned off before you can put it in the shredder. More time trimming limbs than shredding. And i jams if to much is put in.

Straight 2x4 and 2 clamps, which is almost literally the same thing, work just fine if you're really trying to save money.

ok lets do some math 100$ WEN track saw, afterward you going to have to buy another one becase this will not make you happy! 500$ Dewalt but because you wasted your 100$ The aquirement of the final saw cost you 600$.

I own the Delta and I got it on clearance for 50% off and couldn’t be happier. I got more than my moneys worth. I added a router table insert which increased the value of it.

I think the fact that Mike took the time to research & acquire the Wen track saw, it has potential. If you’re just starting out, you can’t get hurt, in fact you might find ways to dial it in. All that said, I am a fan of buying the best you can at the time without putting yourself in financial jeopardy. It’s kinda like the old commercial from the 70’s, The Fram Man, you can pay me now, or you can pay me later.

How many of these guys who have commented think you could use this for fine woodworking? Heck as I grew up in the trade, there were no track saws. How did we do anything? IDK.
@markkempton45792 сағат бұрын
Not everyone does fine woodworking, and if you do, you already have the better tools you want. This is for breaking down sheet goods and building out your shed, not custom cabinetry.

What is the purpose of 8:07? You don’t really explain that part? All the vids I watch explain aligning the blade by a different method.

Everything I’ve tested from WEN so far has been surprisingly good. Given the price point I don’t doubt there’s some bad stuff out there too. Thanks for watching Matt!

Buy nice or pay twice. I'm not sure really who the target audience is for this. If you're the weekend warrior type, I'm thinking a nice clamping straight edge paired with the circ saw you already have is a better bet. For everyone else, Festool, Makita, or Milwaukee are likely what you're grabbing.
@Wubzy662 күн бұрын
I have had one for years and it works fantastic on my Festool track
@ProjectsForAllReviewsКүн бұрын
Before the track saw craze a circ saw and straight edge was your option and what I used too. I paid $180 for everything in this vid when it originally published two years ago and for that money it’s not bad if you’re not planning to use it everyday. IMO. Thanks for watching!
@spartan77172 күн бұрын
Interesting. Can't find it with the tracks included as you stated.
@ProjectsForAllReviewsКүн бұрын
I don’t think they sell this one as a kit. I bought everything individually. Check the description for links. There is a 110” track option now and I would recommend getting those over the 100” tracks in the vid. Thanks for watching spartan!
@louisd957142 күн бұрын
I guess this is OK for people just breaking into the carpentry business to rip plywood, etc. But if it was me looking to purchase a track saw for the first time I would opt for a Makita or purchase a Kreg set to convert my present circular saw into a part time track saw.

I agree! I usually buy mid to high end tools but it’s nice to know there’s a half decent option if you can’t afford those. Thanks for watching Louis!

@sirmalaki794 күн бұрын
My Craftsman Nextec (same thing) worked great with joist hanger nails. I used it to fix a preexisting deck where I couldn't swing a hammer or get a nail gun. I installed joist and stringer hangers with it.

I have the Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead 12v version, both the original and updated articulated versions. I've used mine while renovating my in-laws' house. It's handy for working on trim in strange locations and positions, and there's a lot of that in a home originally built in 1887. It's also helpful for adding stair and joist hangers on a preexisting deck where there is no room to swing a hammer or get a nail gun in.

I have wanted one of those for a while now! Had a cheaper Chicago Electric one that worked fantastic for about a minute, but after a few day’s use, died completely. They’re fantastic for tighter paces where you can’t really get a good hammer swing down on a nail. Next time they’re on sale at Lowe’s, it’s mine!

@2010stoof4 күн бұрын
Your router didnt come with wrenches and allen keys and the one for adjustment? Or were you just explaining what sizes they were? Good video thought. Surprisingly its on par with many tables twice the price. As you go up from thwre things get better but the table alone cost is cheap for what you get for double the price from another company
