Version 5.0 Banners, Kinich & Mualani Details & Night Spirit Mechanism Explained | Genshin Impact

Natlan’s preview trailer has been officially released, showcasing its stunning scenery, a unique new mechanism, and three brand-new characters. In this video, I’ll cover everything we know about these characters and their special Glow effect.
From the trailer, Natlan doesn’t look like a nation of war but more like pokemon masters battleground.
As mentioned in my previous video, all three new characters are set to release in version 5.0. Out of these, two are 5-star characters, and one is a 4-star.
First up, let's talk about the 5-star characters.
The first 5-star character is this cool male character you see in the picture. He has a Dendro vision and wields a clay-more. His placeholder name is Kinich. According to Uncle YC, he has hook rope type mechanisms. We don’t have any details about his kit yet, but Uncle Foul suggests he’ll be a great teammate for Emilie, and will serve as a main DPS character.
The second 5 star character is the shark-riding girl. Her vision is Hydro, and she uses a catalyst as her weapon. Her placeholder name is Mualani. She’s a DPS character with really high raw damage, and she’s rumored to be even stronger than Neuvillette. Mualani’s kit focuses on normal attacks, with her damage scaling on HP. Her normal attacks deal AOE damage and drop source water droplets when they hit enemies. Collecting these droplets extends the duration of her elemental skill and provides self healing. While she is stronger than Neuvillette, the gap is not significant. So, please wait for future updates during the release of version 5.0 Beta, since this information was obtained from Pre beta internal testing.
This cute little girl you see is a 4-star character. She has a Geo vision, and uses a polearm as weapon. Her placeholder name is Kachina. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about her kit yet but she is also expected to release in version 5.0.
All the Natlan characters will have a new special mechanism called - Night spirit Superiority. The characters can enter this special state by activating their Elemental skills, and this Glow effect you see around these characters is the indication of it. However, the exact working of this mechanism is unclear, but for the Hydro girl it allows her to move swiftly on water just like we see here, and it also increases her damage. So, I am guessing this special state unique to Natlan characters, allows them to harness their latent pokemon powers which helps in over-world exploration and increases their elemental damage.
Natlan’s Official trailer will release on 12th of July, and Version 5.0 will go live on 28th of August. So, we will see more playable characters from natlan with their official names on 12th July.
That’s all the info we have for now. Since these are all early crumbs take it with a grain of salt, more concrete information will be available with the launch of version 5.0 Beta. So, stay tuned for more updates.

what kinich was doing in the trailer really does look like a hook rope mechanism btw! i believe it will be like this because in the natlan teaser a month ago, there were 3 kinds of saurian dragons (each all in the 3's set colors) and the dragons shown all had abilities like the 3. there was one for kachina (the dragon being able to go traverse quickly and smoothly on (or well basically underground or up mountains) , mualani (the shark in water, which parallels how she can ride on hers), and kinich (dragon had their own hook mechanic!) it's super cool to see it all connect and line up together!!!

I have Neuvillette, but what worried me was not him being less impactful... but EVERYONE else. If she was going to be indeed stronger than Neuvillette (who is already an outliner), it wouldn't have looked too well for Power Creep in general. And while I really like the looks on that girl and wouldn't mind to grab her... I don't look forward to half my 5-stars to end up being Hydro characters (with Neuvi, Furina and maybe Yelan...) I may think twice about pulling for Yelan now. XD

Not sure about what Kachina but Kinich seems based off of aztec and Mualani, both name and design looks based off of Hawaiian culture. Basically they might have tribes to each their own and we may have 3 tribes to explore to. (im hawaiian and Mualani just screams hawaiian to me, dont trust what I say 100% tho)

Lore has nothing to do with playable character's strength. Eula used to be the strongest dps of her time. Besides, she is stronger in pre beta internal testing, just wait and see for beta. The damage will most likely be adjusted. Even if not, Every character is a commodity to Hoyoverse. Also, think of her as an alternative to Neuvillette or use either one in a different team.

​@@FurinaSecretseula is not the highest dps, people don't really know what dps means, it's dmg per second not the strongest attack, means the constant dmg per second neuvillett smaller dmg compared to other high dmg characters but combined with his constant dps he's do a lot of dmg compared to other characters who do high dmg and need to wait for a long cool down to get the next attack This probably will affect this new natlan girl, I personally don't think this is constant dps character but is probably a high dmg character with attack cool down Another expample of this is navia, a c0 navia can do 200-300k dmg with 4* wepons and with c6r5 she do high dmg but her skill cool down makes her to lose dps
